Poipu Oceanfront, 10 steps to ocean

Kuhio Shores is on the sunny South Shore of Poipu Beach and is small and quiet. It extends out into the ocean so that there is water on each side. Our condo has an expansive ocean view from wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and dining room. The ocean is just 10 steps away from the lanai!

Our condo is on the ocean side of the building with great views of the surfers, dolphins, turtles and sunsets! The condo has 5 Ft more window, living room and lanai space than the other ocean side one bedrooms at Kuhio Shores and is as close as you can possibly get to the waters edge.

Best of all, our condo is on the ground level so you can walk out directly on the lawn and be surrounded by ocean, sky and surf. You can walk around to nice beaches on each side of the building that are famous for snorkeling and surfing. The lanai is also a great place to lounge and soak up the sun and ocean breeze. Or to just watch the waves, birds, porpoises, turtles, whales, and surfers!

This is our second time staying in Jack’s lovely home. We love the location, comfort and amenities. There’s nothing like the view and the sunrises and sunsets from the lanai. The view and proximity to the water are what make this the perfect place to stay! The condo is comfy and clean and all you need. Parking was never a problem and because this is a floor level unit it’s easy access to & from parking. Watch the sunset, fall asleep to the ocean waves, wake up and watch the sunrise. True paradise!

We loved our stay here…the kitchen and condo had everything we could ever need. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was fully stocked. There were so many nice extras to make it feel like a home away from home…even gorgeous orchids on the tables. The view was beyond our expectations! Absolutely stunning! And the location couldn’t be more perfect. Hopefully we will come back again.

Great Location & Beautiful Views

We had a wonderful stay at this condo in Kauai! The view was absolutely stunning—truly one of the highlights of the trip. The home was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Beautiful Stay

5 stars all around for this Kauai stay in Poipu. It is the closest you will get to the ocean. Short walk to the beach for snorkel and Beach House restaurant. We saw whales from the patio and turtles near by. We had everything we needed for a 1 week trip.

Outstanding Location

Breathtaking vista immediately upon walking through the door. Hard to believe that waves are crashing just 50 feet from the patio. Lush grass to walk on to take in the sunsets and sunrises. Easy and walkable access to food, shopping, beaches. The condo was clean and comfortable. Jack was easy to communicate with.

Perfect Stay

The condo was clean and in an amazing location. We loved having coffee on the patio every morning while listen to the waves crash just steps away. Right next door is the Beach House for delicious drinks and watching the sunset. We snorkeled almost every day at the small beach just 2 minute walk away. We saw an abundance of fish and even some turtles. The condo came with a couple coolers and beach chairs that came in very handy. Jack was very easy to communicate with. We loved our stay.

Perfect spot to relax and explore in Kauai

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Amazing views of sunrise, sunset. and turtles surfing the waves right outside the patio door. Comfortable bed, excellent AC and fans, beach chairs/umbrella and towels, and a responsive host made our stay relaxing. Beach and restaurants are in walking distance, some steps away! Rented a car through Turo to explore the island. We’ll be back!

Loved being right on the ocean. Opened the windows and slept like a baby every night. Close to several beaches and the two primary shopping and dining areas. The condo was in great shape and the perfect size and layout for a couple to stay. Coffee each morning steps from the ocean was exceptional. The host was super responsive as well. Great condo, right next to Ocean and just a few steps away from the Beach House Restaurant. Early morning sun rise & set are beautiful from the patio. Whale sightings from a distance (spouts, etc.) and turtles right next to the shore-line. Jack continued to check on us as well which was very much appreciated. We will want to stay here again!

Oceanside Condo in a Great Location with Beautiful Views

We stayed at the Condo for 10 days. It was better than advertised. It was very clean, the views were spectacular, and the condo had some nice updates and all the essentials for a great stay. The communication with the owner was also excellent. The owner checked in with us a couple times during our stay and helped to answer any questions we had and helped solve a minor problem we had during our stay. We would definitely stay here again. It was a great home base for our entire trip and we miss it already 🙂. I personally preferred this side of the Island versus the other areas on the Island, we visited most of the island during our stay and were very happy that we decided on this condo and location for our stay. Many restaurants, shopping, beaches, and attractions were also nearby. Can’t wait to go back again someday.

Nice location and condo

35 ft from the ocean- fabulous sunrises and sunsets. Some great whale watching from the lanai. Well stocked kitchen with really nice pans, coffee maker, and a nice assortment of spices. Listening to the crashing surf day and night was amazing but sometimes overwhelming! Cons- no baking or mixing dishes in the kitchen which made cooking some things difficult. The lanai umbrella was broken making it difficult to be outside in the intense sun. There just was no relief from the intense sun. There was a beach umbrella left by a previous guest ( not supplied by owner) but that was broken also. The TV kept going out and needed to be reset. The bed is only a queen. My husband thought it was pretty firm. I thought it was ok but both of us had problems with the sheets. They were the type that retain heat and with the humidity, it made for uncomfortable sleeping. While there is snorkeling on either side of the condo complex, the waves were so intense and the area so rocky, we found it difficult to snorkel there. We preferred going to Poipou Beach which isn’t far at all. Overall, a very nice location. A nice but slightly dated condo. The owner is fantastic! Great communicator and was very flexible.
