Located in the sunny Poipu area just steps from a great snorkeling beach and one of the island's best restaurants. Within walking distance of other excellent swimming beaches, fishing and sightseeing. This one bedroom, one bath, 850 square foot vacation condo sleeps up to two people. We even had a rainbow one morning. We were thankful for the AC in the bedroom at night. But otherwise we didn’t use it. But nice to know it is available (dual zone: bedroom/living area). A highlight of each day for us was happy hour on the lanai to watch sunset. The owners Mike and Sue were a pleasure to work with. We loved being able to see sunrise and sunset from the lanai, and watch turtles feeding at the shoreline below. The location gave us multiple options for morning walks and snorkel outings, and is close to restaurants and shops. The unit provided everything we needed for comfort and recreation, and we used the cooler constantly to bring goodies back from the North Shore, Lydgate Farms chocolate tour, etc. We also appreciated the convenience of keyless entry and the security of the in-unit safe. We really didn't want to leave! ##### Shauna P. We loved watching the turtles and the surfers from the lanai. We almost didn’t have any reason to leave because the view was amazing. The condo had everything we needed. We made use of all the beach gear. They had a bunch of beach chairs, a big umbrella and a couple coolers. This was an added bonus for us and we really appreciated all of it. We never had to use the ac, the trade winds kept the condo cool enough. Overall we slept like babies, loved the place and had a great vacation. ##### Savara J. Had always stayed at the G Hyatt Kauai in years past but they have priced me out of business. After staying at Kuhio Shores 415 wish we had never stayed anywhere else. The ocean view here is unbeatable! The condo has EVERYTHING you need to make your stay perfect. We loved the ocean breeze coming into the place. The unit has 2 AC units but we never needed them. The complex is well maintained, quiet and in a great location to everything on Poipu. Pat (the owner) was great to work with through the entire process. Highly re ommend Kuhio Shores 415 to everyone!! ##### Joel C. We spent most of our time on the lanai anytime we were at the condo-watching surfers, observing turtles and were gifted seeing a large pod of spinner dolphins! The lawn below was a great spot for sunset viewing. Communication with the owner was great from booking through checkout. The condo was well appointed with everything needed for our stay, including good quality beach gear, coolers, etc. The location is central for exploring the south shore, Waimea Canyon and Koke'e state parks. We split our two week visit between the north and south and highly recommend to avoid extra driving time. Why spend more time in the car when you can be out exploring this beautiful island. There was quite a bit of road construction on the main highway from Lihue to Kapa'a. Plan plenty of extra time when traveling through this area. We definitely recommend this condo and would stay here again!! ##### Dawn C. You're so close that you may need to close the windows to lower the volume for sleep and conversation! Sea turtles graze in the waters between the sea wall and the reef offshore every morning and sometimes into the afternoon. It was not unusual to see four at a time. Nearby Poipu Beach sees five (or more) pull up out of the water to rest at sunset. The palm trees at Kuhio Shores are the current roost for a massive flock of Ring-necked Parakeets. Just after sunset, they flock to the palm trees in an amazing display. Pro tip: don't park under the palms! The Condo was comfortable and reasonably well equipped. Furnishings are little worn in places, but nothing to significantly detract from your stay. Rates are more than reasonable for the location and you won't regret staying here. One thing missing from the current description that you will absolutely enjoy: There are boogey boards (3), snorkel gear (2), beach chairs (4), and travel coolers in the condo closet for guest use. If you need a corrective vision snorkel mask, they are available for rent next door or in nearby Koloa at Boss Frogs for very reasonable rates. The host warned us the AC was out the day before our travel (not as gotcha, but because he thought it was going to be made before our arrival), and the full replacement was completed in a few days. Enjoy the new, very effective AC! ##### John L.
