Great location.

Great location and views. We were able to walk to snorkeling locations and places to eat. There was always something going on at the Beach House restaurant. Easy driving to get to other locations on the island.

The condo is as described. The AC was appreciated in the bedroom and cooled off nicely. We made good use of the snorkeling items in the closet. Before you buy a cooler the condo has a small and larger one to use along with chairs and umbrellas. It was relaxing to sit on the lanai and watch the turtles poke their heads up. Many used the cove to snorkel and scuba dive. It a perfect location to view the sunset just around the corner of the building. Thanks for a great stay

Great condo, on the ocean. Very scenic near, quiet (other than the roosters) but they are everywhere. We highly recommend this property for couples, or small families.

Another stay in paradise

This is the our third time staying at Kuhio Shores, first time in this unit. It is a very comfortable unit, well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and furniture. We have stayed at other locations on Kauai previously, but Kuhio Shores is our favorite — great snorkeling right outside the building!

Family celebration

Perfect Stay in an Idyllic Setting

We absolutely loved our time at Molla and Kevin’s place. The view of the ocean is astonishing. The condo is clean, spacious, and well -equipped. Location, location, location!

We stayed at this property for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon in Kauai. The owner is so sweet and provides ample details on ensuring a great stay. The unit itself is quiet and relaxing. The best part is the amazing lanai with views of the ocean and comfortable patio furniture. It was so nice to open the back windows and listen to the ocean waves while sitting inside. If we ever come back to Kauai, we would absolutely love to stay here again! It was the perfect peaceful escape!

We had a great time, convenient location to explore the south shore. The water and sunrise views were wonderful. Well equipt room. Parking was free and right at the building. Restaurant was right next door so you never needed to travel for dinner but make reservations. Just don’t park directly under the palm tree at the condos, bird poo but everything was great. We would stay again.

Beautiful view

The communication prior to arrival was fantastic with lots of information. The check-in was easy. We spent every morning sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise and listening to the waves crash. The condo has many accoutrements for the beach, including chairs, sand toys, an umbrella, snorkeling equipment, and beach towels. We stayed cool due to the cross breeze through the condo when the back door and windows are open. Next time we are on Kaua’i, we will see if this condo is available again if it’s just myself and my spouse. The pull-out couch was not very comfortable for our child to sleep on.

Stunning views

This condo has a stunning view from the lanai. I watched turtles every day from the lanai. The condo has most everything you need. The A/C in the bedroom works well, but the rest of the condo stayed really warm even with the doors/ windows open and the fans going. There were only 2 bath towels/person & 1 hand towel/person with no bathmat. The condo listing shows that it has a washer/ dryer, but it is not in the condo. They are available on each floor, but their are 2.50/load for the washer & 2.50/load for the dryer. A little disappointing especially with limited towels. I would recommend staying here as long as you are aware of the quirks of the property.

Great family vacation.

This was our family’s first time in Kauai and will have forever memories of the island. We are frequent travelers to the Hawaiian islands and they all have something unique and special. The highlight for us here was the snorkeling. It was so close to the condo and so many beautiful fish and turtles. The condo provided the necessities and had plenty of room for our family. There were umbrellas, chairs, sand toys and coolers. My only complaint is the linens were not freshly cleaned. Our kids slept on the pull out couch but the sheets and blankets provided in the linen closet smelled like they were washed several months ago. I ended up washing the sheets and just let the kids take our blanket and pillows. Other than that, everything else was perfectly fine and we enjoyed our stay and would stay again when we go back to Kauai.

Nice and relaxing

I’ve read many very positive reviews about this place, and our experience is consistent with these reviews. Nice, comfortable, great location and views. You hear relaxing sounds of the waves - not the neighbors. Many little touches showing the host cares about comfort of visitors…. We have not seen a single ant or other pest in the condo – which is often a problem on the islands…. One thing to be aware of (that was not clear from the listing): the absence of “classical” sandy swimmable beach by the condo. (The shore is rocky, and waters were pretty rough in August). However, we found an ideal beach within 1 mile from the condo: we would drive to Sheraton/Poipu (there was always free parking on the street in front of the hotel). We would then go to either Sheraton beach, or (when the surf was stronger) we would walk further alone the shore to the adjacent Marriot beach (this is a very protected beach swimmable on any day)….

Great Expectations...but reality is

View and sounds of the water were amazing. It was, however, mediocre for the price of the unit. The furnishings are all worn done. Appliances like kettle, stovetop, and coffee maker are on their last leg. Curtains and furniture covers have rips and snags. The toilet was very slow and questionable at times. The bedsheets kept falling off as it lost its elasticity. The worst of it all was the tv wasn't working. Yes, we're in Kauai but when the sun goes down and you want to go back to the condo to hang out and watch tv, you can't. It was painful to communicate this issue as the owner basically told me to call Spectrum. 2 hours later, no success. Geez, wasn't planning on that! Basically, I was told the tv will be replaced after we leave. For this problem, I only got $100 in credit. While I appreciate at least some kind of credit, a $100 wasn't enough for all of these items. We went over the Thanksgiving holiday so it was over $2200 for my 5 nights. I would not stay here again.

The location, the view, the parking, & the amenities couldn’t have been better. Very very comfortable. The location made it very easy to do & see everything we wanted. So glad we chose the south shore & this property. I hope to be able to stay here again on our next trip here. Received great info & instructions prior to arrival which was highly beneficial. Highly recommend!!!
