Stay in this beautifully designed vintage Hawaiian style home 350 feet from the Brennecke's Beach side of Poipu Beach park, in the heart of Poipu. Spacious lanais and outdoor living gives everything Kauai has to offer, as well having your private gate leading to the Poipu green belt and heritage trail. All the Poipu resorts, as well as shopping and restaurants are just a stroll away, and you have full access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club as one of the perks of your stay with us. Superior property, well equipped, everything worked, and the location was fantastic. Five us of in this house, four at the Marriott. Easy walk to Brennecke’s beach and Poipu Beach. Loved having the wagons, beach chairs, and boogie boards from the garage. We didn’t use the umbrellas due to the high winds. Loved the wall of windows that opened up. Appreciated the back up propane tank for the bbq as we needed it, also appreciated the super quick response from Brent when we needed to swap the gas tanks for hot water. Hard to believe that the in person experience exceeded our expectations. This house is gorgeous and the location couldn't have been more ideal. Short half block walk to Brennecke's beach but yet quiet and peaceful enclave when resting on beautiful porch. Owner was super responsive on a question we had and really cares about his property and the guest experience. We loved that the primary bedroom/bath was upstairs which gave us a retreat from our teens. Many amenities, boogie boards, chairs, bikes, beach wagon and cooler made our beach experience so much easier. We are quite particular and we would highly recommend anyone to stay here! ##### J S. The location is nearly impossible to beat as it’s a few minute stroll to the beach, which is excellent for younger kids. House itself was well appointed, especially for a new listing and had most everything we needed (pack and play, beach gear, coolers, wagon, etc.). Beds were comfy, house was very clean, kitchen well stocked with most things you need and a good assortment of seasonings already. The hosts were exceptionally attentive and responded within minutes of sending a message. Karen’s list of recommendations was also very helpful and clearly had a lot of thought and personality put into it. Driveway is slightly tricky to navigate the first couple times but fine once you get used to it/your rental car. Absolutely loved it and will book again in a heartbeat whenever we return. We are already debating booking the place for next year before it gets too popular and availability becomes scarce. Thanks again for a great stay! ##### Mark B. It was immaculate, and every single tiny detail was well considered, from the beautiful door knocker to the ample and luxurious towels. As an architect, I could tell that the owners thought of everything (the paint color, the window shades, the fans), even little things like centering the air conditioner on the mirror above the dresser - so much love in every corner. And, of course, I cannot rave enough about the location. It was literally a 3-minute walk to the best beach in all of Kauai. Poipu beach, where the turtles sunbathe daily, the kids play in the shallow protected end right under the lifeguard stand and the rest of us get to snorkel in an aquarium full of delights. We saw fish we had never seen before, and we even spotted a few eels. I seriously felt like I was in Moana. Also, the house is full of art by the owner, which in my opinion was gorgeous! Thank you so much, Karen and Brent. Our stay in your home was as close to perfection as it gets. Lifelong memories made! ##### Caroline N. The house is an architectural gem that should be in a magazine. Beautiful throughout with thought put into every detail of the decor. Beautiful bedrooms, kitchen and living room, but the outdoor lanai is where we spent most of our time. The gardens and partial view of the ocean from the lanai were just gorgeous. As for amenities, the house had everything--a high chair for the grandkid, boogie boards, two wagons, beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, towels, games, stocked pantry with spices and such, and a great guide to the area written by Brent the owner. As for the area, it was fantastic. We hit Brennecke beach just down the path to boogie board the wave. The grandkid loved the shallow baby beach and protected lagoon, and Poipu Beach was just beautiful with the numerous turtles and seals sunning themselves on the sand next to us tourists. The house was also close to Port Allen for sailing excursions to the Napili Coast (a MUST) and hiking in Waimea Canyon. There are also great restaurants nearby and shopping as well. Finally, Brent was a great host and stopped by to give me some history of the house and see if there was anything we needed, even asking for suggestions on what he could add. Can't help on the latter--maybe a plastic cup to take to the beach, LOL. That's it. You can't go wrong with this house. It's a gem. ##### John K.
