I had the most incredible stay at visitHOMES in Leirvík. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The host, Lilja, is truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, so welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely caring, which made the whole experience even more special.
The accommodation itself is so cozy and beautifully kept, the perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring the Faroe Islands. Every detail felt intentional and comforting.
Breakfast was such a highlight each morning, absolutely incredible. Lilja prepares everything herself using local ingredients and takes the time to explain what she’s made, which makes it feel so personal and special. Sitting in her kitchen enjoying a fresh, delicious breakfast was such a memorable and cozy experience.
I also have to mention Simba, the adorable cat, such a sweet and calming presence.
I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for a warm, authentic, and memorable stay in the Faroes, this is it.
