"We love Calypso Cay and the facilities! The rooms are a little outdated and could use a revamp, paint and some minor repairs but they were clean and stocked. We were barely in the room so it was just fine for what we needed. The main pool was great but packed with families and many children having a great time. One pool was down so not much adult time in the pool. The tiki bar staff is amazing and we spent most of our time there! We will definitely be calling this location home away from home when we need a little get away!"

"Room was clean. Could use tongs and a pan for the outdoor bbq. The family pool does not allow any balls or toys fyi Pack bug spray. Bugs around the pool were terrible!! Otherwise friendly staff, fun music and enough beach chairs for all "

"The property has the potential of being something great. However, it needs a serious renovation. Furniture is old and outdated. Mattress squeak. fans rattle. Even when asked to be moved to a renovated room, (not very may) there were still some things that were half done. For example, if you're going to renovate the bathroom, why not make sure the shower head works properly. The furniture in that room was old and worn. The bar in the pool are was dry. Nothing I would drink. The ice-cream shop was not open and there are those black bugs (lovebug) that are everywhere! You can't sit out and enjoying with having to fight them off. I did like the fact that there were washers and dryers on the room and staff was very nice and apologetic for the inconvenience. I really wish I could have canceled my stay but the hotel would not honor it so I made the best of it. "
