Beautiful location in farming area against gorgeous cliffsides within 6km of local community. Staff accommodating on serving early breakfast to enable us to make a tour.
This hotel is situated in a valley in southern Iceland; there are very few other hotels within a radius of several dozen kilometers, and they tend to book up quickly. Given the facilities, the price is a bit steep. Breakfast and convenient parking are included, and the rooms are reasonably clean. Overall, it is a decent place to stay for a night.
Advertised as having hot tubs, there were none. Overall nice property but front desk staff not very friendly. Breakfast was great and breakfast staff very friendly.
We were in a room with a toilet. The shower was across the hall. If you need a lot of space, this is probably not the place for you but we were very comfortable. Breakfast was good.
All of the hotels in this area are very expensive so we went with the cheapest option which was this guesthouse. Overall the property is very scenic. The room was clean and updated. In our 9 day trip it was one of 3 with a working TV. :) They do offer a free breakfast which was a bit too late for us at 8am so the lady at the front desk offered to make us a to-go bag and put it in the shared fridge upstairs. That was nice of her.
Loved the breakfast and quick and easy check-in process. The surroundings were beautiful and the nearby farm provided a nice opportunity to come close to horses.
Nice stay for two days. Guesthouse had a very nice common area for making your meal if needed. Staff was attentive.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
We enjoyed the included breakfast and comfy, clean room. We stayed two nights and this was a great base location to spend a day visiting Skaftfell and Jokulsarlon.
very easy check in, property was clean and well maintained! had cute communal areas as well as cozy individual rooms that were perfect after a long day.
Beautiful location, and the room, while expensive, was very clean, modern, and quiet. We got a good night’s sleep, and as a bonus, they included breakfast.
We liked the guesthouse. It was quiet and the breakfast was great. We got lucky and watched some Northern Lights, very little light pollution within the area. Everything was clean and in good condition.
If you are looking for a good spot to see the Northern Lights this is your place! The staff and rooms are great as well. Stayed two nights. Oh, the breakfast was wonderful.
2 nights here, we enjoyed the community feel — it was a nice middle ground between a hostel and a hotel. The rooms were spacious for 3 people with clean and comfortable beds. Breakfast was very convenient and we loved the overall vibe of the place. The cherry on top was getting to see our first Aurora of the trip, really clear and gorgeous from here.
