"When I reserved the room, I had no idea it wasn’t connected to the hotel. Inside smelled musty, and didn’t see or feel clean. The front desk lady was rude as hell. After driving 8 hours in straight rain, I got there around 2pm. I was tired from the drive, and just wanted to go to the room. Without even checking to see if the room is available yet, she instantly said we’re going to have to charge you for early check in. I’ve worked for hotels before, so she could have told me let me check and see if we have one, instead of rudely saying there’s an early check in fee. Really? 2pm is not that early. Long story short, after driving in the rain for 8 hours, I had a headache. I then no longer wanted to get back in the car to drive to the casino. I will not stay there again!"
Tanglewood Resort on Lake Texoma, an Ascend Collection Resort
2/10 Terrible
"I paid on Expedia and Tanglewood charge me again after I checked out they don’t have a free breakfast they try and charge you $18 for powder eggs and preheat bacon and sausage"
"We stayed here as an alternative to the casino and we almost past it because it was so close. Check in was easy, the room was clean/bed and pillows were fine, and the breakfast was great. Overall would stay here in the future and recommend it. "
"One of the nicer La Quintas we been to lately but wasn’t crazy about the neighborhood. I notice that bc I needed to walk the dog and there wasn’t much of a walking area"
Remote Cabin Hideaway in the woods close to the lake, walking trails, and casino
10/10 Excellent
"Enjoyed my stay as a solo traveler. My ONLY complaints were no WiFi which is understandable in the area and lack of a/c throughout. If you are a warm sleeper, bring a fan. Even with the unit on 67, the a/c does not travel to the bedroom so it was hard getting comfortable at night. Other than that, I would def stay again. Very quiet and beautiful area. "
