Due to easy access to the harbour and creaks, Brancaster Staithe is hugely popular for sailing and paddleboarding. At Sea Holly BS, the thoughtfully curated ground floor comprises of a light and bright, inviting sitting room with ample comfortable seating, the dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen. These spaces blend seamlessly to create a great social hub for family or friends to share in food, wine and conversation, as lasting holiday memories are made. Garden access is provided by french doors from the dining area and through a door from the kitchen. Conveniently located on the ground floor, bedroom one hosts a double bed and benefits from a en-suite shower room - ideal for any less mobile guests or those who prefer a bit more privacy. Upstairs on the first floor, bedroom two and bedroom three offer twin beds, with a single bed provided in bedroom four. A family bathroom featuring bath with shower over serves these bedrooms. Outside, to the rear of the property, there is an enclosed garden which comprises of a patio area with garden furniture, and steps leading to a raised lawn area with planted borders. A lovely spot to sit to enjoy a morning coffee or dine al fresco as the sun sets. Being fully-enclosed, this is a safe place for children and dogs to play. Off-road parking for two cars is available to the front of the property. Brancaster Staithe has a small harbour, a sailing club, shops, and convenience store, as well as The Fish Shed which sells locally caught seafood. There are two super pub/restaurants, The White Horse and The Jolly Sailor, plus a popular cafe at Burnham Deepdale, where you will also find a petrol station with a small but well-stocked shop. The stunning sandy Brancaster beach, with a resident seal colony, is only a short drive away, and can be reached on foot via the coastal path for those who enjoy walking. Titchwell, Thornham, Holme-next-the-Sea, and Hunstanton can all be easily reached by car or Coasthopper bus, as can Burnham Overy Staithe, Holkham, Well-next-the-Sea, Stiffkey, and beyond, in the other direction. Inland from Brancaster Staithe, the Georgian market town of Burnham Market is not to be missed. Additional Information: Two medium-size, well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Great location and very comfortable.Only big negative was that it was virtually impossible to gain access via the side of the house to the back door and garden ,due to all the rubble left there. (On a wet day with a dog it is not so practical to enter thru' front door) Small negatives were hot water tap in kitchen came off several times and there was no plastic/glass measuring jug to warm milk or make gravy.custard etc. This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good 9 Jun 2017 #### Sea Holly for birders I do think that Sea Holly should be described as being in Burnham Deepdale, not Brancaster Staithe (even if it is in the latter postal district). Slight confusion on arrival, as I had been instructed to collect key from the Burnham Deepdale office (which was closed), yet the cottage is equipped with a keysafe! Once I'd been given the number, it was easy to get in. We found Sea Holly to be a well equipped house in a good location, convenient for coast, shops and pub, yet so peaceful and quiet. The sliding door from the lounge into the garden took a bit of mastering (fiddly lock mechanism). Nice private back garden with bench at the top to catch the evening sun and patio table and chairs nearer the house. Loved watching the local partridge running along the pavement of an evening and even coming into the back garden! Also saw two red kites overhead and heard a cuckoo - my first this year! Short drive up to house is so steep that parking on the verge was the sensible option. This was no problem as there was so little passing traffic.
