The temperatures are generally pleasant, and there's very little rainfall, which means the roads are in good condition, and animals are easier to spot as they gather around water sources. The clear skies and cooler evenings are superb for sundowners with a view of the plains, and the reduced humidity makes for a more comfortable experience overall. For families, the short dry season in January and February can be ideal. It often coincides with school holidays, and while it's still dry, it can be slightly warmer than the June-October period, which might be preferable for younger children.
