Fido Friendly This spacious, dog-friendly, 3 bedroom home is a 3 minute drive to the beach with guaranteed parking on the oceanfront w/awesome beach access. The sound w/a gazebo over the water is a 2 minute walk. Sunsets, Dunkin, resturants, Publix, a dog park, a playground, Avalon Pier,a movie theater, ice cream shops, pizza shops and family attractions are all at your finger tips. Whether you are coming for the beach, fishing, shopping, surfing, bar-hopping or for the incredible Outer Banks attractions, Paige's Place is in a prime location for your OBX vacation experience. More about Fido further down in description. This 2nd level, 3 bedroom, 1 bath home is centrally located in Kill Devil Hills at MP 5.5 in a quiet neighborhood in the shade of the live oak trees. This home offers 2 queen beds, a full bed, 1 twin air mattress with built in pump, 1 full bath, a small covered front porch with two rocking chairs, and a large carpeted back deck with a table, chairs, and a gas grill. The spacious living room has a 65 in Smart TV. Excellent Wi-Fi is throughout the house. In the fully-equipped kitchen we supply you with the basics which include oil, salt, pepper, ground Folgers coffee, K-cups, sugar, spices, paper towels, trash bags, DW pods and Dawn. There are 4 counter height bar stools and a dining table with 2 benches in the step-up dining area. This entire area is an open great room with a cathedral ceiling. There is a large desk & stool in the step-up dining area. There are games and books for adults and children. The large sofa, love seat, a big matching chair and a Lazy Boy reclincer will provide the comfort for relaxing after those beach days. TVs are in 2 of the three bedrooms for streaming your favorite programs. A full-size washer and dryer are located in the bathroom for your use along with detergent. The sheets, quilts, comforters and blankets provided are of high quality as well as the bath towels, hand towels and bath cloths. Toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and a first aid kit are all provided. The full tub w/ the shower has a multi-fuctional shower head w/a hand-held shower attachment as well. Some amenities that are not found in the amenities section include a coffee percolator, a Belgium waffle maker, (syrup & mix provided), an electric skillet, a mixer, a roasting pan, a new blender, a new two-slice toaster, a George Foreman grill, a single sandwich grill, a Keurig, a giant pot for steaming seafood, two crock pots, a Blue Diamond set of pots and pans and several frying pans. Look in the living room closet by the TV and you will find most of the items just listed. Many more amenities are included with this house, so be sure to check out that list. Guest access Guests have access to the entire 2nd floor, including the front porch, and back deck. In the hall closet there are various cleaning supplies, a vacuum cleaner, a wet Jet sweeper, a broom and dust pan and more. There are two locked owners closets; one in the hall and one in the back bedroom. Guests also have access to the area at the bottom of the outside steps where the bikes and beach items are kept. We provide adult beach chairs, a child size beach chair, boogie boards, skim boards, hula hoops, beach toys, and a cooler. The gas grill is available for you and is located on the back deck. The East-side yard is for guests and half of the concrete driveway and rock area in front of the house are for guests parking. Please do not park along side the street. Other things to note Being a guest of Paige’s Place entitles you to FREE PARKING at Avalon Pier for beaching-it or fishing on the pier. You will find an Avalon Pier Parking Pass, one for each day you are staying at Paige’s Place. These will be on the kitchen counter when you check in along with instructions on how to go about using this pass. The home has central a/c. Theremostat is in the hall. There i also a back-up a/c window unit in the living room. About First-Floor, Downstairs Unit: Three, year-round tenants live in the 1st floor unit and have been tenants for over 15 years. They have been vetted, have clean backgrounds, are all over the age of 35, quiet and are all employed during the day. There is a door at the bottom of the inside steps that is locked at all times, on both sides. There is no outside shower, but a water hose is provided and is located at the bottom of the outside steps. The water will remain on the entire time you are here. This is a nice, quiet, safe neighborhood, so please be mindful of our neighbors and the tenants downstairs. House rules Absolutely no smoking inside the home. Receptacles for cigarette butts are provided on the upstairs front porch and back porch and one is downstairs by the red front door. Ashtrays are provided outside as well. No underage drinking, no drugs, no parties and NO candles. Maximum occupancy is 5 people at any point. Pets You are welcome to bring one dog, up to 60 lbs. or two small-breed dogs. Small breeds weigh less than 22 pounds at adulthood. A few small breed examples are the Chihuahua, Dachshund, Shih Tzu, Pug, Bichon Frise, Pomeranian, French bulldog, Boston Terrier, Pomeranian, and Jack Russell. Feeding stations and one large serta dog bed are provided. There is a $120 non refundable fee for each dog (2 dog max). And one last thing... remember there is great fishing from the shore and off shore charters from Pirates Cove and Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. We had a wonderful time staying here for our first trip to the Outer Banks- Paige has appointed the property with everything you can possibly need to have an amazing time with family and your furry family member.Location is plenty close to the beach and our dog Barney had the best time swimming in the ocean. Located on a quiet paved road just a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bicycle ride to the beach, this property offered everything a vacationer could hope. The 3 bedroom, gorgeously decorated, meticulously clean dwelling supplied every amenity for our family. From the beach towels, bicycles, beach chairs, coffee bar to the in-house washer/dryer, we took advantage of all the offerings. The beds were extremely comfortable and TVs were simple to use. Central air/AC kept the living spaces comfortable for our mid-summer vacation. Paige didn’t miss a detail with her beach themed decorations throughout the house. The ambiance added to our relaxing stay. Access was simple with passcode entry for all of us to use. Paige communicated ahead, during and after our stay which we much appreciated (thank you for the dining and sightseeing tips). But the nicest touch was our greeting and welcome gift basket. I’ve stayed at five star hotels that didn’t provide all that Paige’s Place offered. Thank you for an enjoyable stay, Paige.
