This semi-oceanfront cottage has all of the old-world charms that you would expect and so much more. The updates and updates have been done with such great care so that not to forget the Outer Banks of years past. From the moment you drive up to "Beach Front Cottage, you are instantly greeted with the bright & cheery yellow exterior. The ocean-facing front porch has plenty of seating and is a great spot for taking in "everything" Outer Banks. From the sound of the crashing waves to the salty smell of the air, it may be hard to get past the front porch. Upon walking into the cottage, it is evident that this home has been the backdrop for family vacations for generations yet, it has been tastefully updated to include all of the modern amenities that you could ask for and more. Walking into the living room, the old-world exposed beams and wood paneling are in stark contrast to the modern, yet comfortable furniture and updated electronics that you would expect in a home built today. The kitchen is made for entertaining with plenty of seating at the bar and the table, so everyone can be part of the fun. The delicate mix of rustic Outer Banks charm and modern coastal decor is in perfect balance in all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. The bedrooms are spacious and well-appointed. The rustic feel comes to a halt upon walking out of the back door. This space is one for coastal magazines with plenty of room for lounging and relaxing by the private pool. The hot tub is nestled in the corner of the yard so that it is private and out of the way.

The main attraction (the BEACH) is only a quick walk from the front porch. To make it even more convenient, there is a large beach cart, so you take everything to the beach in one trip! Crashing waves, salty air, and the sun warming your skin are the things that great vacations are made of. Kill Devil Hills is known for some of the best dining, shopping, and historical sites, some walking distance away. Enjoy Goombay's Raw Bar and Grill for incredible drinks after a day at the beach or an afternoon at the pool. Beachside Bistro always delivers a great meal at any time of the day! Best Vacay!!!!

We had an amazing stay! I cant think of any ammenities that were not included. Our family enjoyed every bit of our vacation. Most of pur time was spent around the pool and on the front porch!!! So close to the beach. We never had to go anywhere!!! We will definitely be staying again.

You will ask for Nothing More!

Absolutely Amazing including Ciara. This property will be our vacation home. You couldn't ask for more. We had everything desired. It was no outside table umbrella, but it wasnt listed under items provided. So we enjoyed the sun and fellowship. This property was absolutely amazing. Communication was superb with Ciara. I hope im spelling her name correct. We needed batteries for a remote, we called and she was right there with no issues or questions. Not a long wait at all. We desired our stay to be longer, next time we will book longer. I asked my family was it anything they desired that wasnt provided, no one could think of anything. From utensils to hooks for clothing, towels, and all. It was even a cellphone holder in the master bedroom bath. Unbelievable amazing! I was told the pictures didn't do justice, and it was the truth! See you next year! Same place! Yay!

Great place to stay!

Plenty of room, short walk to the beach, pool and hot tub was amazing since the weather was a little chilly and raining most of the week. Had everything you could need plus some. Highly recommend.

Great Location just needs some minor updates

Great cottage with wonderful backyard

Not ocean view. No towels, must pay extra $220. Strict check out. Get your dishes washed by 10 AM because you will be kicked out at 10 and charged extra $100 for unwashed dishes.

The location was absolutely perfect! It’s right in the middle so everything was a short drive away and walking distance to target for anything we needed. Do not waste your money on the linens package it is cheaper to buy the fitted sheets and towels at target and the comforter and pillows were included at the rental. We took off a star because it was the most bare bones no hospitality place I’ve ever stayed. We were asked to buy our own toilet paper and paper towels, there were no seasonings to cook with not even salt, all of the knives were so dull I hurt myself using it, the dishwasher and hot tub had parts falling off, and it was not as clean as any other rental I’ve stayed in. You can definitely tell it’s being managed by a company and not someone who cares for the home. Even with that stuff I would definitely stay here again for the location and pool!

Best Beach Cottage

Our family had the best time. We come to Mags head yearly and stay with a friend that’s a local. This year we decided to get our own place and this house was perfect there was plenty of room for our family of 6 to be comfortable. The home is so cozy we all felt right at home. The kitchen set up is great you can cook but still be with the family in the living room lovely open concept. A few staple items like a cutting board and operational can opener were missing but other than that it’s stocked w plates silverware and tons of pots and pans! The location to the beach is amazing we were able to walk and come back to the house as we wanted and the pool was great along w the hot tub. We will definitely stay here again! It was clean and so cute. Just the coziest cottage!

Good time and great location

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The queen bedroom needs the mattress replaced, new pillows for the beds, and a whole house deep clean but other than that this was a great option. Love the short walk to the beach in the private pool.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were not allowed checkin until 6:00 pm. This was unacceptable. We are long time return guests to Kitty Hawk Rentals. A whole day is paid for and wasted. We loved the location, cleanliness and the fact it is one level! The pool and hot tub are fantastic except the outdoor shower area was grown up with weeds. The shower head in the largest bathroom needs replaced. The MB bathroom does not accommodate a large person. Just these few mentions would not keep us from renting again!! We enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to another great week as long as checkin hours are amended.
