While technically located in Kill Devil Hills, Sunset on Soundview is nestled in the premier OBX sound-side gated community called Colington Harbour. Whether you're looking for a quiet relaxing vacation, or one filled with active adventures, Sunset on Soundview will appeal to everyone in the family! 4 Bedrooms, 2 baths, 7 beds, Sleeps 10, 1700 sq ft Smart TV's are located in every bedroom and living room. Main Level: King master bedroom with ensuite full bath; upper deck with beautiful views, open concept kitchen, living room, and dining room (seating for 8 at the table). Each bedroom closet is equipped with a fan, hangers, laundry hamper, and folding luggage rack. Lower Level: 2 queen bedrooms, full hallway bath, 4th bedroom with twin bunk beds, laundry. Ground Level: open garage with amenities and extra storage space for beach items. Outdoors: private dock (sea wall) with room for a boat, 4 new Adirondack chairs, 2 new Captain Adirondack chairs, propane BBQ grill, plenty of yard space for outdoor activities. The back yard is a great place for admiring the sunset and star-gazing at night. Kitchen is fully stocked, plus: crock pot, griddle, blender, coffee bar with Keurig, traditional coffee pot, and electric kettle. Other indoor amenities: various board games Other outdoor amenities: 2 stand up paddle boards, med cooler, tennis racquets, pickle ball gear, and frisbee. The street has very little traffic and is great for a nice stroll or bike ride. Community amenities, about 1 mile away: \*\*Outdoor salt water pool with diving board and swim lanes, kiddie pool, spacious sound beach, park, dog park, playground, dog park, tennis with pickle ball markings, and basketball courts. \*\*Community Pool Dates are Memorial Day - Labor Day. Please note community pool dates are subject to change (in most years, the season gets extended into mid-September!) Boater? Colington Harbour is only 10 miles from the Inter-coastal Waterway. There is a $10 / day launch pass fee to use the community boat ramp. 1 DOG (30 LBS OR LESS) IS ALLOWED PER STAY, but you must select pets at the time of booking. The pet fee will automatically be included in the nightly rate. If this is not selected at the time of booking, there will be an additional $500 pet fee charged. Guests must clean up after their dogs in the house, yard, and neighborhood. NO PETS ON FURNITURE. NO SMOKING. NO PARTIES. NO EVENTS. NO PARKING OR DRIVING ON GRASS. Parking is free, on-site, in the paved driveway only. It is single-file and may accommodate up to 4 average size vehicles. There is no overflow parking available. In order to provide a beautiful and safe property, maintenance is required. We have regular landscaping services, and quarterly pest control services to ensure our guests have a pleasant experience. These services cannot all take place on turn-over days, but every effort will be made to minimize impact to our guests. EARLY CHECK-IN FEE. Early check-In may be possible if coordinated at least 1 week in advance. $100 fee applies. We have 2 Ring security style floodlights, one on the garage that faces the street and one on the back of the house facing the canal. There is also a Ring doorbell. Area attractions: Ocean front with public beach access and free parking (several options – 4 miles), Wright Brothers Memorial (4.5 miles), Colington Café (3 miles), North Carolina Aquarium (21 miles), Avalon Fishing Pier (6.5 miles), Churches – Son Rise Christian Church (5.5 miles) or Liberty Christian Fellowship (1.5 miles), Jockeys Ridge State Park (8 miles), OBX Escape Room, Various OBX light houses, Lots of shopping, and lots of restaurants off the main Hwy. Skate Park, Putt Putts, Go Karts, Horse Back riding, Hang gliding, Deep Sea or Inland water charter fishing trips, Dolphin tours, Jet Ski and Pontoon boat rentals. Guest is required to sign a renter agreement. During the peak season, this is a 7-night, Saturday to Saturday weekly rental. The house was exactly as pictured except better! It was beautifully decorated, incredibly functional, and extremely comfortable. They thought of absolutely everything you could possibly need to feel at home and enjoy the water and surrounding area. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet and the amenities were fantastic. The drive to the beach was very easy and parking was no problem at all. We loved staying here away from the traffic and noise of the main Beach Road but still being close enough to get to the beach within 10 minutes. Our daughters loved paddle boarding up and down the canal and into the sound. We enjoyed the pool and the festivities for Labor Day weekend and absolutely loved hanging out on all of the decks and outside areas and just relaxing.Bradley, our host, was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. We had absolutely no issues during our stay and we would 100% stay here again.
