Cabin in the Woods
The location was great to exploring the Black Hills. It was a little cabin tucked up in some trees just off the main highway. You could not hear any traffic..it was very peaceful.

Cozy cabin
Our 3 night stay in the Gold Nugget cabin was perfect. Loved that it was so close to Mr Rushmore but away from main street Keystone. Much more enjoyable stay than a hotel. My husband keep telling me what a great find it was. Love the set up with the bed in the loft. Great place to relax and watch some tv after a day of hiking and sightseeing. Would highly recommend.

Lovely little cabin!
This was the perfect little cabin for the two of us to stay while we went on a South Dakota road trip. So close to the town of Keystone and Mount Rushmore. Also a nice place to stay if visiting Custer State Park and Wind Cave National Park. Very clean and cozy. We loved staying here!

First stop for Honeymoon!
Backroads Inn and Cabins was a wonderful place for my husband and I to stay while on our honeymoon. It was clean, quiet and cute! Perfect distance from downtown Keystone, SD!

The Golden Nugget cabin was ADORABLE! Loved all the “FARMHOUSE “ charm. The cabin was clean and truly a delight. So very close to everything…we had been to Mount Rushmore in the afternoon but because it was only 10 min. away we drove back up for evening lighting,! Definitely would book again!

Great weekend trip
My husband and I had a great time in Keystone and this cabin was the perfect place for us to stay. It was clean, had everything we needed, and was close to town but still felt remote and quiet. We would definitely stay here again

Excellent spot in the woods but close to what you need!
The Gold Nugget is a great, cozy spot. Loved it! We only had one night but would go back if in the area! The cabin has everything you need. The bed is tucked up and super comfortable! The cabin I suspect was a fifth wheel camper in its prior life, but the interior is lined with wood, wood flooring, excellent kitchenette area! Nice sized porch! We enjoyed sitting outside, watching the deer go by! This was perfect for the two of us! It’s outside Keystone’s Main Street area but only by a mile or so! Kitchen utensils, coffee, full sized fridge, TV, WiFi, everything we needed! Easy check in. Only downside was with check in no earlier than 4 pm and check out required by 10 am, it felt a bit rushed. Would have expected an 11 am or noon check out option. Super glad we found this place! Definitely would recommend it.

Excellent location and tiny house cabin.
We truly enjoyed our 4 days in the area and inside the tiny home. The customer service was excellent and the area was beautiful. We hiked the two trails right from the property and they were a blast. Everything was provided and we had no issues with anything at all. Would 100% recommend this owner and the property to all of our friends and family.

Adorable cabin
This was the cutest cabin! My kids loved the bed “upstairs”. Great sitting area outside and a cute creek beside the cabin made a great place for my kids to play in the morning. We even met the owners who were so kind. I highly recommend.

Great stay
This is a beautiful property just outside of Keystone SD and just a few miles from Mount Rushmore. We enjoyed a fire after a long day of 4 wheeling area trails. Our hosts provided smore fixins which was a perfect cap to a fun day in the area. We high recommend Backroads.
