"C'est de l'arnaque. Cette adresse Toutaf diamniadio aibd n'existe pas. Je suis parti jusqu'a là et il y avait pas de hotels , ni d'herbergement . Cela fait longtemps qu'ils ont quitté la-bas. C'est un milieu trés hostile, incompatible. Ce que j'ai trouvé ce sont des magasins et des marchés de rue trés impropres. J'ai envoyé un email a expedio ou vrbo pour un remboursement mais c'était un email de non retour. C'était vraiment un cauchemar pour moi. J'ai dû retourner avec le même taxi pour aller...

"Our stay at Royal Horizon Baobab in La Somone was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the kindest, most polite and professional staff across all services — kitchen, waiters, animation, cleaning, and security. Everyone made us feel at home. The food was absolutely amazing, with diverse and delicious choices every day. The pool area was spotless, with comfortable sunbeds perfect for relaxing while enjoying the beautiful surroundings and stunning views. There were plenty of fun activities and entertainment programs to keep everyone engaged. The location is ideal, with the village nearby and exciting experiences like Bandia animal reserve, quad rides, and boat trips in the Somone Lagoon. A special shout-out to Issa, Tina, Amadou, Mata, and Ismael from the animation team, and to Pape and Adama from the waiting team — you made our stay extra special! Highly recommended!"

"The room was space & clean . Comfortable bed. Refrigerator is small but kept clean. Bathroom has floor tiles ,however the shower area is wide open & water spills out ( walk carefully to avoid falling ) there’s a safe but it is not bolted down & can be easily moved. The bathroom door has keys but doesn’t lock. TV works great . Small balcony but nice & clean. Closet is big & clean . When we booked on Expedia it says the hotel provides a shuttle : #1 , we emailed 3 times no , response . Called & spoke to staff. Staff said there will a shuttle…. it is a taxi driver ( Raymond Diop ) directed us to talk Bernard ( staff in charge ) he didn’t give us the price from Dakar airport to Hotel Residence Khadija. Raymond took me to buy supplies ( second trip ) drop us back to the airport for a grand total of $100\. We sincerely believe we over paid & they ( Bernard & Raymond ) never offered to make it right . The food was excellent. Kitchen staff need customer service training, they seemed timid & no warm welcome/smiles. I had fish Yassa ,that I will recommend. The pool is beautiful & clean with an outdoor shower to rinse off . There was a conference going on with folks speaking into a loudspeaker fairly late & early in the morning. Made it hard to rest/sleep. Reception/front desk was good . The hotel is fairly close to the airport ,which makes it an ideal place to stay if you are on transit. Wouldn’t mind stay here but will have to see some tangible improvements. "
