The view out of the two picture windows facing the ocean was mesmerizing for two land-locked folks from Nebraska. The unit was very clean, new and nicely decorated. Kitchen appliances, utensils, pots and pans, glasses, plates and bowls all very clean and high quality. Saw star fish from the chairs overlooking the water one day, and an eagle perched within 30 feet of our window on another day. Drive into Ketchikan is quick, as well as the drive to Herring Cove in the other direction only a few miles away where you can view bears. Their place was spotlessly clean, well stocked and appointed, and in a peaceful part of the island. Right on the water with the most beautiful views! Bald eagles nest close by and we watched them fly and feed, as well as a little family of land otters swimming right out front. Jessie and Eric are super hosts-very friendly and accommodating. It’s the perfect little spot for getting the relaxing views of the water and nature while being in a quieter, but very accessible area.
