About this property

2 Bed in Keswick (oc-90064)

  • Located in the pretty village of Threlkeld in the Lake District National Park. This recently refurbished end terrace house is nestled at the foot of Blencathra. There are plenty of options for walkers in the area, including a route following an old railway line through ancient woodland towards Keswick (4.5 miles). Work up an appetite scaling the six fell tops of Blencathra, 2.5 miles away, and return to the village for a light snack or something heartier in one of the village pubs or the friendly cafe. History buffs will love a visit to Castlerigg Stone Circle too (2.5 miles). Enjoy some water sports at Ullswater (11.5 miles) or visit the magnificent Aira Force Waterfall and neighbouring nature trails (9.5 miles).

As you enter the property, you will find yourself in the hallway which features a lovely and practical slate floor, there is also useful under stair storage for coats and boots. Off the hallway, you will find the cosy lounge with a wood burner, attractive wood flooring and comfortable seating. Step up from the lounge to the well-equipped equipped kitchen, where you can still chat with the chef in your party! From the kitchen there is a formal dining room, which offers a cosy ambience to enjoy an evening meal and make plans for the days ahead. Head back into the hallway and up the cottage staircase. On the first floor, you will find a pretty twin and king-size bedroom with a family bathroom across the landing.

There is a front garden with a lawn and patio overlooking the village – it offers a great place to sit and watch the world go by and is a real suntrap to enjoy a morning coffee or a good book on a sunny day.
