St George Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"The room key I had opened the door to another room! I stayed in room 212, and after a very long day I accidentally went to room 202 and opened up the door and entered the wrong room!
After a moment or two of seeing the room wasn't presented correctly, the actual guest of room 202 opened the door and walked into the room whilst I was standing there. It was just a good job I wasn't in the shower, on the loo or getting dressed.
As you can imagine, the other guest was quite shocked, as was I. I showed him how my key fit his door and I hadn't broken in.
It appears that the room key is actually a master room key, so can fit any door and the same key lock for outside/late night access.
No one came to the room to find out if I was OK, or needed anything.
I'd not stay there again.
It's a shame, as back in the day this must have been quite a lovely hotel, but now has been left in need of modernisation. Yes, the cost per room was quite competitive, but that isn't the point. Safety of guests should always be paramount of importance."

The Coach House Suffolk
10/10 Excellent
"Nice rooms, comfy beds, great staff, food was delish, a reasonably priced pint, what more do you want"

Best Western The Hatfield Hotel
8/10 Good
"Staff we had to move rooms after one night because the heating didn’t work and the shower was intermittent with hot water
The staff were excellent on moving us"

Hotel Ocean
8/10 Good
"We had a mixed experience during our stay. On the positive side, the location was absolutely fantastic (as close to the beach as we could have got) & parking seemed very straightforward (we visited out of season, so we just parked further along the seafront).
Our room on the top floor was beautifully clean and both looked and smelled lovely; the rest of the hotel interior was equally spotless. A quick note for future guests: the staircase is a little tight and it is a long way up to the top, so those with mobility issues should definitely request a lower floor.
We didn't try the restaurant, so we can't comment on the food.
Unfortunately, the stay was really let down by the state of the entrance. There were cigarette butts on the floor when we arrived, and they were still there when we checked out. As someone who strongly dislikes smoking, I found this disgusting; it really impacted the first impression of an otherwise lovely place."

Hatfield Lodge
6/10 Okay
"Staff were lovely, room was very clean and we much appreciated the 3 mugs as we normally have to ask. My only criticism was the bed wasn’t very comfortable. "
