Kerr Dam

The water in the tub / shower would not turn off completely. It was leaking water from the faucet and the on /off water temp handle. We went dinner, upon our return to the we discovered water all over the floor. When we contacted desk, they came to the room and stated they had been having problems with the shower. Their comment about the problem “ we can’t get someone in until Monday took at it” their solution , wrap a towel around the leaky faucet handle. As a result we listened to the shower run all night. At no time did they offer to move us to another room. We asked for a reduction in the bill, we were told we would have take it up with Expedia as we booked through them. Not the best of experiences at this hotel.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We paid over $300 for one night because we were in town for the marathon. As soon as we walked in, there was a strong odor, the couch was badly stained, and the room felt dirty. After walking barefoot for a short time, I looked at the bottoms of my feet and they were black. The night before a marathon is when you need a clean, comfortable place to rest, and there was no way I could relax in those conditions. We ended up paying another $700 for the only available room in town just to get out of there. This experience was completely unacceptable. The owner should be embarrassed to charge those rates for a room in that condition.

The location and overall vibe of the place is great. Only complaint is that there was no fridge or microwave in the room.
