"We felt welcome right away, they have a full bar, pickleball court and corn hole boards. Typical continental style breakfast was warm and well stocked. We appreciated the bourbon barrel style of the decorations. Would stay here again, the location is great for a home base."

6/10 Okay
"Most areas of the room were very clean. But its time for a deep clean or at least a wipe down of areas that are not on a routine basis. There was significant amount of dust and hair on the bathroom walls, baseboards, and vanity backsplash edge.
We found the beds and pillows to be uncomfortable which was the sole reason we booked this hotel because several of the reviews mentioned that they were.
The breakfast was okay but not great.
The pool is small but enjoyable. There were six kids in the pool from different families... all being respectful of each other but it definitely was full. "
"The female.staff person who checked us in was friendly and welcoming. The room itself looked clean, beds were fine. Could use more lighting. There was a refridgerator and microwave, but no coffee service in the room. The only available coffee was a Keurig in the office. No snacks or vending on the sight though you could buy a can of coke from the desk receprion for a dollar. No breakfast.
What made my rating poor instead of ok, was one, there was an ajoining room. I would not have booked if i had know. It was ajoining. Two we were awakened at 830am by pounding on the door, (not knocking) pounding. Then someone proceded to key the door and try to enter. There was a chain in place from the inside or there would have been someone with access, in our room at 830am while we were sleeping. To say it was jarring and scary would be an understatement. No one spoke,or asked for entry. When we dressed and looked out the door, no one was around. Check out is not until 11am so if that is their way of saying "move along we want to clean", they won't have to worry about me coming back. "

10/10 Excellent
"Awesome place for the money! Looks like the hotel has been renovated. We had what felt like a new bed. Breakfast was amazing as well. Nice indoor pool and area with tables to hang outside of your room. I’ll definitely be coming back to this hotel on my way home from my next vacation."
"We are extremely disappointed with our recent stay at this hotel. We specifically chose this property because it was advertised as non-smoking, which was especially important as we were traveling with our young family, including three small children. Unfortunately, upon entering our room, it was immediately clear that this policy had not been enforced. The room had a strong, lingering smell of cigarette smoke, as if someone had been smoking there for an extended period of time.
This was not only unpleasant but also concerning from a health and safety standpoint, particularly for our children. We reported the issue to both the night clerk and the morning clerk, hoping for a resolution such as a room change or some form of compensation. However, both interactions resulted in little more than a brief apology, with no effort made to address the situation in a meaningful way.
We also attempted to follow up with the hotel multiple times after our stay to express our concerns about the hazardous conditions we were subjected to, but received no response whatsoever. Even when Hotels.com tried to contact the hotel on our behalf, there was still no reply.
It is incredibly frustrating to have paid for accommodations that were not only misrepresented but also unsuitable for a family with young children. The lack of accountability and customer service only added to an already negative experience.
We cannot recommend this hotel and strongly urge management to take accountability. "
"Rooms were clean. Staff friendly. Only complaint that the hotel can’t fix is there was a lot of road noise from the traffic. And the room beside us decided to blare their TV at 2:30 am but did turn it off after I banged on the wall a couple of times! 🙄
It’s a quick 3/4 minute drive into Bardstown so nice and close! "
