Adjacent to the owner’s home, the properties are set in a peaceful location and are an ideal base for walking, fell climbing, touring this unspoilt area of the National Park or just relaxing. Enjoy the beautiful ever changing scenery from the accommodation and stroll the many footpaths of this picturesque area, or for serious walkers there is the challenge of the Kentmere Horseshoe. Visit Haweswater, Troutbeck, Long Sleddale, and the whole of the Lake District can be easily reached by car. Staveley, 4 miles, has ample shopping, tea shops and pubs serving meals. Fishing permits can be bought for Kentmere and mountain bike hire is also available locally. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles. Heerlijk rustig, maar wel afgelegen. Slechte telefoonverbinding, daarentegen is de wifi wel prima. Hou rekening met een smalle weg naar het huisje toe, dus rustig rijden en regelmatig achteruit om een tegenligger door te laten. Lake Windermere is prettig toeristisch en Ambleside een erg leuk plaatsje iets verder weg. This accommodation was exactly what we wanted. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and practical. It has stunning views and is very peaceful. The owner is lovely and welcoming.
