You can rent tubes outside the park, but spend a few bucks and bring your own flotation. There are several pavilions to use, if they aren't reserved, but also lots of shady spots. The trails around the area are wonderful, and there is always the playground if the kids get bored of the water and beach. Best to go when kids are in school because the park fills by 10am during the summer.
