Villa Rochford Kellevie

Villa Rochford is a contemporary farmhouse with bespoke industrial finishes, including recycled beams, bench tops, cast iron light fittings and polished aggregate concrete floors.


Set atop the hillside, the space is designed to make the most of the breathtaking rural views from dawn till dusk, followed by stargazing at night, including the Milky Way. Whether seated by the fireplace in the spacious main lounge and dining area, or perched at one of the outdoor patios, or our additional ‘viewpoint’ with a morning cuppa or a glass of wine, Villa Rochford is all about seamless indoor-outdoor living and enjoying nature’s peace and quiet.


A range of farming artefacts have been collected and repurposed by the owners to bring traces of local farming life into the fresh architectural space, including plough discs that now feature as wall sconces.


The bedrooms have king size beds that can be separated into two king singles, suitable for either couples or friends. Please let us know when booking how you would like your bedding set up so we have plenty of time to accommodate your request. Both bedrooms include a modern ensuite bathroom.

Interaction with guests:
Our Rochford Hall property is a functioning productive Boutique Olive Grove producing Award Winning Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We are frequently on site managing the Olive Grove and property surrounds, whilst accomodating the original house.
Whilst respecting each other's privacy, you are welcome to come up for a chat.

Neighbourhood description:
The expansive coastline of Marion Bay is only a 10-minute drive. The beach is perfect for a long stroll or a refreshing dip. Located in Marion Bay is Oirthir, a fine dining restaurant that uses produce from its market garden and orchards, the surrounding land (including our olive oil!) and sea. We recommend booking in advance. The recently opened Bream Creek Vineyard Cellar Door is also in this area.

There are many other vineyards within 15 minutes, including Bangor Vineyard Shed and Cape Bernier Vineyard.

We highly recommend Hellfire Bluff Distillery, the oysters at Boomer Bay and The Cannery for lunch and dinner in Dunalley, which are all within 15 minutes’ drive.

Eaglehawk Neck is only a 30-minute drive, which boasts the famed Tessellated Pavement, as well as The Blowhole and Devil’s Kitchen.

Our favourite day walks on the Tasman Peninsula are Cape Hauy, Waterfall Bay, Remarkable Caves, Crescent Bay, Cape Raol and Shipsterns.

We highly recommend the Three Capes Walk, which takes four days and covers 48 kilometres, taking in tall eucalypt forests and Australia's highest sea cliffs. Villa Rochford is the perfect base for preparation prior to or recovery following this walk, or both!

A 40-minute drive along Weilangta Road, in the north direction, brings you to Orford and the Great Eastern Highway.

Guest Access:
Drive up Jacobsons Road and take your first right at the large green sign that says ‘Villa Rochford’. You will then go past the main cottage and garden through the olive grove. Villa Rochford will be straight ahead, with ample parking for two cars, next to the front door.

House Rules:
If additional cleaning is required above and beyond what the guest has paid for at the time of booking, this extra cost will be passed on to the guest to cover. Additional costs can be easily avoided by leaving the property in a neat and tidy state and following the check out instructions.

Please note if extra beds are used outside what is required for your group an extra guest fee will be requested for your stay.

In the event of a lockout which due to the loss or misplacement of the primary key or user error, this fee will be your responsibility to pay.

Please specify how you would like your bed configuration set up at booking. The KBs can be split into SB but we need plenty of time to accommodate this request prior to arrival.

* The TV is free-to-air only.

* A mobile air conditioner is provided for cooling as required in the living area. Please do not relocate this to other rooms.

* Our Wifi to access the NBN is via a new Satellite Dish installation.
Please note, that whilst this wifi is the best available in the area, our data is NOT Unlimited.
If you are downloading, please be mindful of the amount, to ensure all future guests can equally enjoy ‘connecting’ as needed.

Note:
The beds will be set up as 2x KB but if you require them to be split into singles, please let us know with ample warning. Otherwise we won't be able to accommodate your request.

A $1,000 security bond pre-authorisation will be placed on your card prior to check-in. Please note that this is not a charge. The hold will be automatically released after your stay, subject to your bank's authorisation hold period, provided no damages or additional charges are identified.
