The best area to stay in Katov is the city centre, particularly around Freedom Square (Náměstí Svobody) and the adjacent streets.

This neighbourhood is the primary hub for visitors and offers easy access to many of Katov's main attractions. It's very walkable, with historic buildings, a variety of shops, and numerous restaurants and cafes. You'll find landmarks like the Old Town Hall and the Astronomical Clock within a short stroll.

Couples often find this area ideal for a romantic and convenient trip. The central location means you're steps away from cultural sites, fine dining, and evening entertainment, making it easy to enjoy the city's offerings without extensive travel.

For those interested in a slightly quieter, more residential feel while still being close to the action, the areas just north of Freedom Square, towards Špilberk Castle, are a good option.
