8 of us have just returned from [4 couples] have just returned from 2 glorious weeks staying in Villa Nena in Kalkan, Turkey. The villa itself was everything the owner said it would be and more. Clean, very spacious, wonderful views, great facilities and a brilliant pool. Outside space included a garden which among other things had a lime tree, a fig tree, a pomegranate tree, and red and white grapes - all kept in immaculate condition. The owners sister lives in a villa next door which may put some people off - don't let it. She was attentative without being intrusive and on several occasions brought us all over Turkish snacks and Turkish coffee. Didn't effect us but I wouldn't say the villa was suited to very young children - there is no childrens pool and the main pool is deepish.
Kalkan itself is an amazing place, buzzing at night with over 130 restaurants and bars but thankfully no discotheques. Built as it is on the foothills of the mountains as they come down to meet the sea it is quite steep. Walking down from our villa to the town took about 20 minutes, we never attempted to walk back up but there are numerous taxis and they are very cheap. Kalkan has a man-made pebble beach which isn't particularly good - but a 20 minute car/taxi ride away is Patara beach - glorious sand and warm sea stretching for about 12 miles.
Summarising, all 8 of us felt it was one of the best holidays any of us have been on. If we could give it 6 stars we would.
