We love waking in the morning to a direct view of the sea and mountains, and hope you will too! Less than a 5 min walk and you can simply dive in the turquoise calm sea for a relaxed swim. Villa Manzara is a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home with 2 lounges. It has 2 dining terraces, giving you the freedom to choose how and where your group would like to eat, drink and relax. Either small group under the bougainvillea or larger group next to the bbq. There are relaxed seating areas both on the roof terrace, and in a shaded area by the pool as well as sun loungers and beanbags. It is very spacious. The villa is of exceptional quality with travertine marble terraces, private pool with large sunbathing area, contemporary furnishings and high quality appliances. The views are stunning from every floor, window and balcony of the villa. Within a 5 min walk is the sea with 3 beach clubs: Kalamar (for families), Lures Hotel (for 5\* luxury) and the Kulube Hotel (for a quiet chilled vibe in a pretty bay). It's 5 min drive to the centre of the old town. There are plenty of great restaurants and a supermarket nearby. If you are keen on nature, the villa is by the Lycian Way which provides miles of picturesque walking trails. The villa is maintained by an English/Turkish company, who keep our home in perfect condition, with a pool guy visiting at least once per day. We provide a Turkish mobile phone with all useful telephone numbers for our agent, taxis, restaurants, gulet cruises as well as the doctor and the dentist. The villa has full wifi. INSIDE AT VILLA MANZARA: The villa is set out over 4 floors: POOL LEVEL: Lounge with 42in flat screen TV, satellite, & table football. Patio doors with direct access to the pool. Large twin bedroom with patio doors, giving direct access to the pool area with shaded seating outside. Adjacent shower room. Utility areas housing washing machine, clothes line, iron and board, vacuum cleaner and safe. ENTRANCE LEVEL: Main entrance door to the villa. Hallway Lounge with two large comfy sofas, speaker, books, backgammon and binoculars to look at the stunning views out to sea from the balcony. Fully equipped kitchen with marble worktops. Two separate patio doors leading to the 2 dining terraces and bbq. WC FIRST FLOOR: Master bedroom with european kingsize bed and patio doors leading to balcony with stunning sea views. En-suite shower room. Twin bedroom with front picture window overlooking the sea and side patio doors leading to balcony. Travertine marble bathroom with bath and overhead shower. SECOND FLOOR: European king size bedroom with double patio doors with direct access to large roof terrace and stunning panoramic views. En-suite bathroom with shower. OUTSIDE AT VILLA MANZARA: There are so many different areas outside at Villa Manzara. Everyone can have a space to call their own. The terraced garden areas are filled with fruit trees, beautiful Mediterranean plants and bougainvillea. Great for picking a lemon for G&T or some rosemary for lamb on the bbq! The spacious private pool terrace has 6 sun-loungers, parasols and 2 large outdoor bean bags. There is also a relaxed seating area with a sofa, chairs and table in the shade. The two dining terraces give you flexible dining options to suit your group. The BBQ terrace, with local stone built BBQ, has a low Turkish style seating area. The large roof terrace has Turkish style seating across two of the corners, making for a great after dinner social area while watching the sunset or even the shooting stars! If that is not enough, you can always retire to your own balcony and watch the gulets out at sea. Villa Manzara is on is a cul-de-sac in Kalamar Bay and as such makes for a very peaceful location. The centre of Kalkan is 5 min by car, taxi or local dolmus bus. However, locally there are some really fabulous restaurants if your group want to stay local. There is also an option to book a private chef to cook for you as another option. As well as the local beach and beach clubs the famous 18km Patara Beach is a 10 min drive away. Kaputas Beach, equally famous is also a 10 min drive. Both beaches and the local town of Kas, and Fethiye farther afield can be reached by bus, taxi or car. SPECIAL INTEREST HOLIDAYS: Kalkan and the surrounding areas have an abundance of ancient historical sites such as Xanthos and Patara. It is an ideal place to come to for walking/hiking holidays (all walks on the Lycian Way are clearly marked). The gorge at Saklikent provides another area for walking, river tubing or rafting. For those who love a real adventure, there is paragliding from the top of the mountain in Kas, and as well as mountain biking and quad biking nearby. The villages surrounding Kalkan are well worth a visit. Some local villages also have wonderful restaurants with locally cooked specialities. They have stunning views across both Kalkan and Patara. There really is no better place to dine and watch the sunset! MOST IMPORTANTLY, this is our home. We are not part of a large company. Our interest is in ensuring you have everything at your disposal as we have when we are there. We love Kalkan and adore Villa Manzara. The villa itself was spotlessly clean and very well stocked with everything you might need in the kitchen and a BBQ. The are several terraces with stunning views and seating. The pool is a good size and deep. No shallow end so may not be suitable for very young children. Someone came every day to clean the pool and surrounding area and sheets and towels were changed mid-stay so we felt very spoilt. First and most important Denise and David are perfect hosts. Ahead of our trip we received many useful tips, all communication was swift and easy. Also Denise arranged transfer, boat trip and mid-stay cleaning for us. The villa itself is very comfortable and in very good shape. The swimming pool and the pool area were cleaned on a daily basis. The villa is very close to three beach clubs, which we can all recommend. Taxi drive to the city and to the supermarket was easy. Overall we had a wonderful time. ##### Ilyas U. Denise the owner was wonderful and the whole holiday was hassle free. The Villa is well equipped and conveniently situated far enough out of Kalkan to provide peace but close enough to make going to and fro super easey even without a car. The beach clubs are close and great for the kids as ana alternative to the pool. Some great days out and Kalkan itself is charming with a diverse culture and great places to eat. To name a few of the highlights: Kalamar Beach club, shopping, boat trip, visit to the Gorge, market day in Fethiye, restaurants, bars/clubs and the list goes on... We were a large family group spread over 2 villas on the same road. Villa Manzara is immaculate, bright and very comfortable. We loved the pool area and the roof top patio with its fabulous views. The villa is a short walk to 2 beach clubs for when you can tear yourself away from the villa. There are also a couple of good restaurants within walking distance. For everything else its only a few minutes in a cab into Kalkan’s old town. ##### Lindsey M. The Villa was spacious and clean with a lovely view. We had trouble finding it on arrival - the directions in Kalkan were confusing and we had to ask for help. The owners were extremely helpful with our requests. It was very hot while we were there but a lovely holiday experience. ##### Alison J. The house is spacious and very well equipped. We loved the short walk to the ocean which is perfect for a larger group as you don’t have to think about transportation. We appreciated the included med-week cleaning and the garden/terraces and po was maintained twice a day.The landlord, Denise was very friendly, gave us a lot of great information and very easy to communicate with. The Villa is located in a quiet and relaxing area with close access to the local beach club where we saw small blue and silver jumping fish and even a seal - absolutely stunning. We have been lucky enough to stay in many villas around the world but have never received such brilliant communication from an owner as from Denise , local area information including trips, restaurants she even supplies a Turkish registered mobile phone such handy numbers input - which we used regularly. The villa was perfect for us all with plenty of room. Denise was always helpful with plenty of knowledge and lots of tips on restaurants etc . We found the ‘bat phone’ very useful with all its pre-stored numbers for taxis and local restaurants. Denise very kindly offered us an early check in so when we arrived at 5.30am we welcomed the goodies that had been provided. The villa was absolutely immaculate and had everything we needed. Denise had even ordered in some of my favourite Turkish shampoo and conditioner!!!As a party of 8 there were plenty of seating areas to break off to or sit as a family. The pool area attracted the sun for most of the day so the umbrellas were a welcome addition. The man who came to clean the pool was lovely.We did have a couple of small maintenance issues during our stay but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently by Elena.This was our second trip so we already knew we loved the area it but the real star of the holiday was Villa Manazara. You can always judge a product or service when something goes wrong, and it did during our stay; an a/c unit failed, and the host worked flat out to ensure the unit was replaced in super quick time. Stunning villa in a beautiful location. The owner Denise was fantastic from the day of our booking right through to arriving at the villa. Denise provided so much useful information on the villa and surrounding area to help us have an enjoyable stay. The villa is perfect and has everything you could possibly ask for. The surrounding area is great with breathtaking views from each of the rooms. We went a boat trip around the bays of Kalkan which we would highly recommend. Being located at Kalamar bay was nice as there are two beach clubs with in easy reach. although being slightly further out of town than we have stayed before the taxi's are cheap enough not to need to hire a car. The owners gave us plenty of information and recommendations, we would definitely recommend this property to large families. ##### Mark S. Quiet location but near enough to facilities. Elena the property manager was very good, taxis were easy to order and cheap. Kalkan town had so many restaurants we were spoilt for choice. Every night a roof top terrace, staff everywhere were friendly and welcoming. We used in villa catering one night, Vicky from Kalkan catering cooked and served us a wonderful BBQ. The villa is very spacious, modern and very well equipped. The views from the roof top overlooking the sea are amazing particularly at night when you can watch the shooting stars. The beach club 5 minutes away is great for families with lots of activities. The town of Kalkan is lovely lots of bars and restaurants to choose from our particular favourite was Chata overlooking the harbour and the sea the staff were amazing. I would recommend this villa it’s very peaceful and relaxing. Denise the owner was exceptional with all the info provided about the area things to do etc. Any questions asked was answered immediately. Wish we was still there!! ##### Sarah B. It was exactly as described in the particulars. The booking of the villa was made much easier because of the assistance given by owner Denise. She was extremely helpful both before our trip and also whilst we were in Kalkan. She organised our taxi from the airport and gave us some fantastic restaurant recommendations and general tips. She responded to messages immediately which was brilliant. The villa was perfect for us. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The sea views from all of the rooms were spectacular and the pool area was great. The chap who came each morning and evening was also really lovely and helpful. Our family with two teens really enjoyed our stay for a few days at the Villa. We have been coming to Turkey from the US for about 20 years and this is a terrific value. In a quiet street in one of the nicest parts of the city close to the water, we had 4 floors of space with super comfortable bedrooms all with AC which is needed. We chose this villa because of the location and value and proximity to the two beach clubs. Kalamar was a lot of fun and great value too! It was great to walk right down. The pool was clean and wonderful to have each day. All was so clean upon our arrival along with generous groceries and wine! The view from the rooftop is sublime. Big hills but good exercise to walk up to the area with nearby restaurants. We tried many of Denise’s great recommendations-Aqua was our favorite. Taxi was so easy and the best way to get into town and back. We also took a boat trip to Aperlai and Inönü from Kas, visited Patara ancient city which is amazing and the beach too, and also Turkish breakfast in the mountains. The Villa was a great home base!!
