"Astir was literally across the street from the ocean. I did not have a full ocean view from my room, but I could see it from my balcony on the side of the building. It was a single room, so the bathroom was small, but the bed was comfortable. It was a lovely room for the price. The staff were very nice and friendly. There was a bar open in the afternoon/evening with a wonderful view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again. "

"Lovely view over the public beach from our balcony. Only downside was smell of someone smoking on a nearby balcony. Room comfortable and clean. Wasn't keen on the window into the bathroom from the bedroom. Even with blind down you can see through to the toilet area. All staff helpful and polite. Liked the different areas around the pool and slope down to tiny beach area. Excellent idea to have a buzzer for staff to take poolside orders. Took advantage of the 8am yoga and pilates classes on the hillside area overlooking the sea. Wonderful start to the day. Only on Bed and Breakfast so evenings we walked to Lassi where there are numerous restaurants and also took taxi to Argostoli on 2 occasions which is just €8 - £10"
