The Brown Family Retreat

Summary:
Just minutes away from Best Friends Animal Society, Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon National Parks and Lake Powell Recreational Area. The Retreat features two large family areas in a roomy open concept with vaulted ceilings and seating for everyone. Master bedroom has a king bed, 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds, 1 full-size futon provides sleeping for 8 and two full bathrooms, one with a large soaking tub. There are beautiful views of the Vermillion Cliffs to the north and the covered porch overlooks the Kaibab Forest to the south.

The Space:
This property is a pet friendly property and does require a $50 pet fee if you plan on bringing your furry friends! :)
Pet Policy: Pets are NOT allowed to be unattended in the home at any time, please understand and respect our policy:)

Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the entire Retreat and property.

The Neighborhood:
Vermillion Cliff Estates is located just 5 miles east of downtown Kanab and with large expansive lots, you'll enjoy wide open spaces and starry night skies.

Getting Around:
Convenient access to State Hwy 89 easily takes you to all the national and state parks while providing year-round access. 4WD is not required for the Retreat, but may be recommended for some of the remote destinations awaiting you.

This was a great little place to stay for our family vacation to Kanab! Some of the furnishings are a bit dated but it was nice and clean and close to so many fun things to do. We would highly recommend it!

This is a beautiful quiet place. The house is spotlessly clean and the accomodations so comfortable. Very comfortable bed, big fluffy towels. :) I wish we could have stayed longer!

The house is great! Very clean and comfortable! We could use the barbecue and laundry as well. It is close to the Kanab city, we went to Grand Canyon North, Glen Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. I would stay here again!

The house was perfectly located for all of the things we had on our list to go see and do. It was very clean and roomy and was supplied with what we needed. We will definitely stay again if we find ourselves in the area. Thank you Star!

This house was in a great location and had great amenities (dishes/dishwasher/laundry/smart tv/etc). It was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our time here. The only downfall was the beds. The mattresses are absolutely terrible. Replace those and I’d be willing to book again.

The property is clean and comfortable. It is in a very quiet area with beautiful night sky. I would give this property a 10 of 10 if it were not for some small but needed repairs. the bathroom faucets need attention, one did not work at all. The lock on the master bedroom door is stuck in the locked position so the door cannot be closed. Other than that this a wonderful property we loved it.

My family and I had a great time staying at this property..the only thing that was not good was the sofa bed. it needs to be replaced or fixed. The bottom board was broken with all the nails/staple wires sticking out. Which could cause some serious injury.. But, overall awesome experience with everything you need..

While the home itself is six miles east of Kanab and we always had to go through town, it was very convenient. Furniture and linens are pretty basic. Had to request a corkscrew but one was bought and delivered very promptly. The hosts provided great info about hikes, etc. In addition to Bryce, Zion, and the Grand Canyon, we really loved the Mansard Trail that was SO close to the house!

Mostly fine. Master bathroom shower did not work. It sprayed water from where the shower head was connected. Master bedroom tv was not connected to anything usable. Living room tv buffered constantly and was very frustrating to watch. Found a dirty skillet and two dirty plates. Great proximity to Kanab and the three parks we wanted to hike.

Nice place and conveniently located. Internet didn't work when we go there but a call to the property manager quickly got that fixed. The hot water is scalding hot, so be careful. Other than that, it was a nice, uneventful stay. Just they way we wanted it.

We loved our stay! The home was clean and had everything we needed and a lot of extras. The location is fantastic and allowed us to visit Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon, Pink Coral Sand Dunes, Glenn Canyon Dam, and Horseshoe Bend. Wish we had more time....there is so much to see. Thank you!

We were visiting family in the area and decided to rent the Brown Family Retreat for our stay. We were not disappointed. The home was located a short distance from Kanab. Close enough to get to stores and restaurants quickly but enough out of town to be quiet and enjoy the stars at night. It is a short drive to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Moqui Cave, and hiking trails. The home is beautifully decorated, well maintained and clean. Everything was in working order. The master bedroom has a large closet and an attached bathroom with a soaking tub and shower. There was plenty of room to unpack and feel right at home. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Nice appliances, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, etc. We made a dinner for 6 family members and had everything we needed. It was so nice to put everything in the dishwasher after our meal. We also made use of the washer and dryer in the home. The instructions for check in and check out were clear and simple. Any communications/questions I had with the manager, Larry Erdman were answered quickly and professionally. We have rented many properties from VRBO and I would highly recommend this home. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. Thank you Larry!
