We had a great trip. This was just what we needed to a nice relaxing mom's getaway. This rental was big, beautiful, clean, well stocked with anything you could think of. The property was beautiful, great location, and fantastic pools, hot tub and gym. I highly recommend this rental and location! Our faborite parts were the bikes (perfect for getting everywhere in Mauna Lani), the Beach Club and great restaurant there and the proximity to both resorts with great spas, yoga classes etc. This rental has everything you could think of (beach chairs, towels, bags, bikes, helmets, sunscreen, shampoo, etc. very well stocked). We enjoyed our stay very much. The unit is very well stocked with everything needed for feeling right at home. A very large and comfortable ground-floor master suite with a beautiful large bathroom and walk-in closet, and two additional bedrooms with a shared bathroom upstairs. Plenty of beach items, bicycles, nice gas grill, and a well-equipped large kitchen. A great little grocery store less than a mile away. Nice community pool and fitness area a short walk away. A lovely lanai with lots of privacy for quiet mornings with coffee and birdwatching. Highly recommended - a great place to get away for a while. I have stayed numerous times at the Fairmont but prices have increased drastically at the hotel. I have stayed in a house the last time I was in Kauai, and decided to try VRBO for this trip. It is nice to settle in, be able to save money by cooking and grilling instead of going out for $300 dinners every night. one $500 trip to Costco can keep you full for over a week The location was perfect for me within walking distance to the Fairmont and shopping. The house was very well equipped including bikes and all the beach gear you will need. Very clean on arrival. There was an issue with the dryer but the owner had it repaired promptly with no disruption to me at all. The accomodations are Four Star! Every detail is taken care of for you! We used the provided beach towels, beach chairs, beach bag, boogie boards and snorkels nearly every day. Such a luxury not to have to buy/rent any of this equipment. The kitchen had everything we needed which made meals and BBQs so easy. The pool is less than a 5 minute walk away and just beautiful with 2 pools and a good fitness center that is well kept. A true resort feeling. The private beach club is a good 2 miles away, so we drove. It is a smaller beach and you need to get there by 9:00am to find lounge chairs and parking, otherwise bring your own chairs. The Shops at Mauna Lani are a 12 minute walk and are so handy for groceries and restaurants. Also it is just a 15 minute drive to the restaurants/shops at Waikoloa and 10 minute drive to Hapuna Beach and Mauna Kea Beach for awesome boogie boarding waves. We would stay here again in a heartbeat--great location and a beautiful, luxury condo! ##### Kim D. Pool was very clean with lots of chairs available. Would be nice if the garage had better storage shelves etc for all the beach toys, chairs and bikes as we couldn't fit our Mustang car into it and there is limited parking in the complex so we usually had to park further away and walk back to the condo. It is very beautifully done! Everything is new and the decor is very appealing. The unit is very clean and everything is organized very nicely especially the kitchen :). The garage is full of beach chairs, bikes, bookie boards, snorkel gear. We drove our bike to the beach park every evening its about a 10 minute bike ride. The complex is very quite and very well kept up. We used the outside grill one night on the lanai, it was very nice. Overall its a very nice place and in a great locations. ##### Helen M. The unit was exceptionally clean and equipped. We've never had the amenities we experienced here, including everything you would need for the beach (chairs, umbrella, toys, boogie boards, etc.). The bikes were another first for us equipped with helmets. My grand-daughter(6) was able to learn to ride without training wheels which opened up a whole new world for her. We enjoyed two weeks in this splendid home with our son, daughter-in-law, and two pre-school granddaughters. Ninik is very responsive, and he provided everything we could have wanted, including a brand new portable bed for our younger granddaughter. The garage is stocked with an array of new bicycles, helmets, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, toys and a beach umbrella. We used everything. The photos are quite good, but do not do justice to the quality and pristine beauty of this home or its setting. The furnishings are very comfortable, fitting and unique, and are of fine quality. So much room throughout, with large windows and doors to receive the sunrise over Mauna Kea. The kitchen has everything needed, and the good little supermarket in the Mauna Lani shops is very convenient to stock up. Kulalani is a beautiful and meticulously maintained property. Ninik's home is sited for full privacy including the patios and outdoor grill. Sound rarely penetrates the interior, and bird calls are about the only sounds you hear outside. It is a short walk to the sparkling large pool with spa, lap pool, and well-equipped fitness building. We swam at the Mauna Lani Resort beach , and just a few miles north on Hwy 19 at beautiful Hapuna Beach, and found a little gem at nearby Spencer Park beach in Kawaihae. On windy and rough surf days, Spencer is calm and sheltered, making it ideal for small children. We went whale-watching on a very stable Ocean Sports boat out of Kawaihae Port on a perfect, calm morning. Expensive for adults, but worth doing with their guarantee that you will see whales, and we did! Unless you are visiting from the moon, you will be impressed with the rugged volcanic terrain surrounding Mauna Lani. Mauna Kea blocks the windward clouds and rain from the Hilo side, and the downward flow of dry air leeward brings cloudless days and warm temperatures. For cooler days, just drive east a few miles to a higher elevation. Be sure to drive from Waimea to Hawi along Rt 250 Kohala Mountain Road for the spectacular views. Have a weekday lunch at the Bamboo Restaurant in Hawi. Stop at the Puako General Store for Kona coffee Kilauea volcano is a full day excursion, but a great experience and a step back into prehistory. Just bring a warm jacket. The Big Island is spectacular in so many ways, and Ninik provided an excellent home for our comfort during our family vacation.
