This central stretch is where you'll find most of the guesthouses, small hotels, and eateries. It's a relaxed area, superb for those looking to unwind. The beach is just a short walk across the road, and you'll find local shops selling essentials and souvenirs nearby.

Couples often enjoy this area for its relaxed atmosphere and easy access to the beach. You can spend your days enjoying the sun and sea, with plenty of options for a quiet dinner as the sun sets. The proximity to beachside cafes makes it easy to grab a refreshing drink or a light meal together.

When is the best time to go to Kampung Pulau Rumput?
The best time to go to Kampung Pulau Rumput is during the dry season, which typically runs from March to October.

During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny weather, lower humidity, and calm seas, making it ideal for enjoying the island's natural beauty and outdoor activities. This period is great for those looking to spend their days exploring the pristine beaches, snorkelling in the clear waters, or simply relaxing by the coast. The calm conditions also ensure smooth boat transfers to and from the mainland, adding to a stress-free travel experience.

For travellers who enjoy water sports and marine life, the months between April and August are particularly good. Visibility for snorkelling and diving is usually at its best, allowing you to fully appreciate the coral reefs and diverse sea creatures. It's also a great time for boat excursions to nearby islands or for fishing trips.

The shoulder months of March and October can also be excellent choices. While there's a slightly higher chance of a brief shower, the weather is generally still very pleasant, and you might find the island a bit less crowded.
