Great place.
Lovely place beautiful outlook over the river. Easy walking distance to main area where the old fish market is. Staff friendly and helpful. Food excellent good prices too. I would stay again.

The Bungalows are a great place to stay, just away from the buzz but close enough to be in walking distance of everything in Kampot. The room is not luxurious or anything, but clean and a bargain for the price. Staff are very helpful and happy to help where they can.

A comfortable stay but a bit pricey ..
A comfortable room in a treed and garden setting. The booking site implied a river view. Alas, the is only one room with such a view.

This property is a construction site! I arrived late Friday night and by 6:30 the next morning (Saturday) the hammering was in full swing, electric saws were making a racket; steel pipes were being thrown to the ground! What a mess - why would Expedia deal with this property?! We changed hotels Saturday morning! Aside from the noise, the “beach” was full of plastic and other debris- complete mess.

Good hotel cose to the town centre.
Good value riverside accommodation, an easy walk into town. Comfortable, quiet rooms, good service. For us the food was average but the breakfast was good. Go into town for lunch or dinner, better food options.

Lovely hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed
Having read previous reviews prior to our stay we were a bit dubious as to what to expect. However from the moment we turned up we enjoyed staying in the hotel. Although there was a town wide powercut for the evening the staff were extremely apologetic even though it was not their fault and provided us with candles. Please note: if you are looking for a hotel to relax on the beach then this is not the one for you. I can only assume the majority of the negative reviews are from such guests. The staff are very friendly and they so speak English, this has a very authentic bar area and the fruit breakfast is decent.

A gem
Just a few minutes from the busy Khmer life, this is a great spot to drink lime juice and watch the fishermen and paddle boarders go by. The food is amazing and the bungalows are uniquely done!

A pleasant place to stay.
Natural Bungalows was a pleasant place to stay, a 10 minute walk from the main bars and restaurants. We did have to ask to change rooms after the first night as the toilet in the bathroom was leaking meaning that the bathroom floor was constantly wet. We were relocated with no fuss and the new room was fine. The staff were pleasant and the restaurant well located overlooking the river. My only concern is that there was no in-room safe which is stated to be the case on hotels.com; this needs to be changed.

had to move rooms after the first night - first room (bungalow) was very old, had no outside lights working, no extractor fan in bathroom working, nowhere to hang towels, missing light in dressing table, inadequate place to put clothes. and this was a bungalow. general first impression poor. second room was much better, and newer.

We stayed 3 nights at Natural bungalows in a private bungalow. The room was large and clean - upstairs We found what it said they had on hotels.com was not correct. No in room safe (which is one of the main reasons we picked this accomodation) No minibar - there was a fridge but it was on the same circuit as the power and turned off when you took your key out. Only 1 pillow in the room for a queen size bed - we didn't complain about this as we had our own pillows and Im sure they would have fixed the issue if we did. You can't tell who is staff and who is not as they have no uniform. And the service is quite slow at the bar and restaurant but the setting on the river was amazing. Breakfast was good $2 - $3 eggs and baguette. We hired a moto from the hotel $6 to head up the bokor range which was fantastic. Overall nice place to stay just a few improvements needed.

Kampot is amazing
Kampot as a town is beautiful and made our stay at Natural Bungalows enjoyable however, if i were to be rating forgetting what a nice place Kampot is my review wont reflect this. Badly lit, designed, fitted out rooms. For the money i would have at least liked a river view. We were put in VIP1 (paid for also) which means on the driveway with staff cars and scooters underneath? Staff were not really interested in being there or helping pur visitors. Shame, could be good.

Beach and garden just outside the city centre
Bungalows are very nicely located, directly at the river with beach. The bungalows are located in a garden, which makes for a very natural atmosphere. Nonetheless, the city centre is just a few walking minutes away.

Pleasant hotel right on the river.
Originally booked 2 nights, but extended it a day instead of staying in Kep. Kampot is better when the weather isn't great for lying on the beach. Very pleasant staff and great owner who helped me plan things to do. They rent motorbikes for $6/day which if you are comfortable driving is the best way to get around the area (Kep and Bokor)- traffic is not too bad. The deluxe room is nice on the second level with a outside veranda to sit and enjoy the scenery. The furnishings and paintings are a bit eclectic but hey it's fun. Loved the location just on the other side of New Bridge Road away from the hustle of the city. The hotel is right on the river and it is as of you are miles from the city, when you are a 10 minutes walk to the heart of Kampot. Would stay here again for sure.

Nice environment, and friendly staff, and a very good restaurant. Location is a bit from from center, 1 kM walk along the river is a pleasant walk though A bit of downside is that, we stayed two nights, there was no housekeeping service, no complimentary water, no towels.. And before I set out to a one day tour, they promised to help me book bus ticket for the next day @ 8:30. But When I double confirm with them at night, they forgot to book and that bus@8:30 is fully booked, we have to take the 7:30...it's not big deal, but we could've booked it ourselves if they didn't want to do it.

Lovely decks, feels like a jungle resort but walking distance to Kampot amenities. Manager Mr Leng works hard to fix any issues. Make sure to ask him for advice. Trips booked through the hotel are same price or cheaper than in town.

Most amazing manager ever
The manager at this place is amazing. My brother and I arrived for two days without much of a plan, and he organized our entire two days for us. He used to be a tour guide, so I think he enjoyed assuming that role again. He tended to our every need. He was amazing!!

Kampot a bliss after Shianoukville
Welcome ritual (special drink and cold towel) were very appreciated after a exhausting trip. Beautifull surrounding made us fell like living in a botanical garden. The terrasses by the river was lovely to have breakfast and reading in a quiet environment. The cuisine was surprisingly good.

Tranquil, riverside location
Located just off the new bridge, Nature Bungalows is as it appears on website - we were warmly greeted by an enthusiastic new general manager Mr Liu, with a local fruit juice and a cooling towel - check in was quick and easy and we were shown to our lovely ground floor clean new room - it had a huge comfy bed, fridge, lovely shower room and decor, TV, aircon, wifi,toiletries, water, kettle and cups but no tea or coffee - given location from actual riverside tourist facilities, this was a minor gripe. The restaurant was nice, situated on a stilted platform overhanging the river, a nice location to watch the fishing boats going out to sea at 5pm each day. We used the hotel bicycles to explore the nearby countryside for half a day, which was most interesting. Breakfast was not included in room rate, which was a bit puzzling as it's something we expect throughout SE Asia, but we had a pleasant omelette and coffee all the same which was extra. Mr Liu booked and obtained our crab shuttle boat to Kep with ease, and arranged a Tuk Tuk to take us to departure point. Overall a pleasant two night stay, to relax and unwind, quiet location.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Natural Bungalows. It is so cute and has so much character. Unfortunately for us we were there for a crazy tropical storm so we spent most of our time in the room but the room was great. There was excellent wifi, cable TV with an awesome movie channel, hot water, and it's plenty spacious. The location is just a 5-7 minute walk into town, its right on the river, there are plenty of restaurants and markets near by, the food at the restaurant is great! We upgraded to a deluxe room from a standard room - DEFINITELY worth the money to pick the deluxe if you are on the fence. The deluxe room is 100% nicer for not that much more.

Cool breezes come off the river making it easier to relax and cool down. The food is not as good as it can be but was satisfactory. The rooms are not like the photos (same could be said for the food) Overall it was comfortable and spacious.

Beautiful location on the river. Highly recommended drink spot. Pizza was adequate. Contrary to many of the reviews, we found the service to be excellent. Very helpful arranging transportation, and allowing us to change to a more preferred room Rooms were also adequate, but nothing special. Clean, comfortable, but no views to be had. Hotel is on an unpaved road, which made for a messy walk to town after the rain. It was only one block of unpaved surface though, and town was close, so with the right shoes it is no problem. Overall, pleasant stay for the money, and would stay again.

bring a torch!
I had a ground floor room which was (not unusually) somewhat different from the rest of the photos. The windows had exterior shutters which would not have been a problem if there had been sufficient lights in the room, even with all three lights one you could barely read. The setting lies lovely with front doors opening out to plants and the small beach area and gazebo provided a quiet place to sit out. The road that leads here is unlit at night and muddy and potholed so overall a torch would be a useful addition to any stay here!

The hotel is located right on the river edge ,with a small sandy beach. We had a semi detached bungalow type accomodation .About 5 minutes walk from the centre of town. Good ambience. The meals are OK ;- we are there several times.

L’hôtel n’est pas très loin du centre ville, à peine 5 minutes à pied . Le personnel est sympathique et serviable mais le prix des chambres et beaucoup trop cher par rapport aux prestations , aucune en fait . Visite intéressante la plantation de poivre du même nom : la Plantation.

No need to have too much expectation
We booked a bangalow for 3people to enjoy a kind of wild and natural atmosphere, but when we arrived, we were told that they had had stopped booking for it and given the notification to the agencies. We had to accept a normal room with one double bed, they put an extra mat on the floor. The staff was friendly, this room had aircon, fridge and tea maker, the bathroom was not so small with basic amenities, though there was no safety box. The garden was nice and neat, but some bangalows were under construction, and the property was not cleaned up enough. There is a restaurant and a bar in front of the river with comfortable breeze. I reported it and asked to refund the difference to Expedia customer survice, but they are ignorering it. I don't know which side had a fault, the hotel or Expedia, though at least they should reply to the customer's inquiry.

Really not one of those places you would want to spend your time. The setting on the river bank is beautifull but the rest is falling apart. That goes for buildings, bathrooms and the overall service - or lack of same - that you receive.
