We were late checking in because our flight delays. I pre-paid for the room, but because I was late, they sold the room and refused to give me a refund. We were forced to buy another room, so they double dipped. Very unethical. Definitely recommend staying somewhere else

The guests made 3 bookings with the name of Rochelle Sellers and also you made a separate booking with your name. The hotel had no idea that you are part of the 3 rooms and there was no information passed on. We did not sell any room and was kept vacant. We did not force you to buy any another room. You were given 3 rooms in fact an upgraded 3 bedroom penthouse so we do not understand which another room you paid for please share so no double dipped please. Please note as per the policy last minute cancellation are not considered when you are physically on the hotel and wants to cancel hope you were known to the cancellation policies.Best Wishes

Amazing time
My husband and I had such a great time staying at Kabira. The staf is amazing we felt very welcome. The breakfast was the best ever dag new foods we are sure coming back. Thank you Kabira for the best time we had.

Comfortable rooms and great facilities
The junior suite was very nice and very comfortable. The pool and restaurant were also very nice. It also has a great gym and beauty salon attached

A good option
Look, it's good not great, and you need to make sure you don't overpay. In common with all Ruparelia Group properties the location and facilities are good but the food and service are average. He's a real estate magnate not a hotelier. That said I still use Kabira Club grudgingly several times a year for ease, security and facilities.

We loved our 8 day stay at Kabira Country Club. We were in the cottage for a few nights and then moved to the Penthouse. The cottage was great, and the Penthouse was a lovely treat. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel. Staff are ever so friendly and approachable, the sports and spa facilities on point and breakfast delicious! They made my Masala Chai every morning which she loved!

This was an extraordinarily bad experience. I was checked into two rooms in succession that had broken equipment. In the 3rd, the TV didn't work properly but by that time I just wanted to get on with my stay. When we ordered room service it arrived in a bag without napkins, condiments, bottle opener ... ridiculous! And the staff abused my girlfriend on the phone as they were not aware we had cahnged rooms as the systems were not updated. Proof if ever it was needed that good facilities need good management. Its a beautiful place in rapid decline

They checked me into a dirty room that hasnt been serviced after the last guests then we had to watch the staff basically argue about who should clean it. The facility is dated, public area washrooms are jot cleaned regularly i wouldnt stay here again

It’s not my first time in this hotel , but it was the first time I’m disappointing , coming back from work I discovered that the toilette isn’t functioning ... asked for maintenance ... it says it needs expert maintenance .... so we need to change the room , went to the other room after settling in , the aircondition wasn’t working , so they changed the room for me again .. went to the other room at 1:30 am really exhausted . I settle in then I hear a sound coming from the smoke detector and can’t sleep , they came and removed it . So maintenance is very poor , another thing the refregirator was used by me for my insulin ampoules , I came back the other day from work found that the refrigeration door wasn’t closed , because they put the bottle of water in side and didn’t care to check if it’s closed or not , so it destroyed my insulin , gladly It was my last night so I managed to survive till I went back to my country compensation given from hotel

A nice hotel with very good facilities.
I had the suite, which was very spacious. Very comfy, and with two large TV's,one in the bedroom and one in the main living area, I was able to watch plenty of sports including the premier league football matches that were broadcast. The bar and restaurant area provided a nice place to relax and eat in the evening. Good food choice and service. Just be aware that they only accept local cash, no cards. The gym had a great range of high quality, modern equipment. Better than most gyms I find at home, in the UK. The swimming pool is a decent size and very welcome after a busy day working. In all, I had a very enjoyable stay with no issues. I wouldn't hesiate to come back and stay at the Kabira the next time I'm in Kampala.

Pros: good security, beautiful large pool with loungers, extensive all inclusive breakfast, helpful and friendly staff. Cons: safe did not work (battery was low, so had to wait to get a key) there had not been a key for the balcony door (so had to get that fixed), wifi in first room did not work (had to change rooms), some of the ceiling lights did not work in room, had to ask for bed side lamps and hangers, one day our room had not been cleaned at all (had to ask to have it cleaned).

Excellent service and stay, even if a bit cramped
Kabira has long been an upscale hotel/resort in Kampala. The facilities are now getting a bit dated relative to 10 years ago when I first visited, but the service was still excellent. There was a minor complication in that we listed we'd have three people in the room (on hotels.com) and that was reflected on our receipt, but the room only had two twin beds. They were full otherwise so they ended up bringing in a mattress. Wasn't ideal, but management felt bad and they did their very best to accommodate. Overall, very happy we stayed.

We loved staying at Kabira. The staff were outstanding and helpful. The pool, gym, restaurant, and grounds are beautiful. The room, while plain, was clean, comfortable, and pleasant. The only negative was that our room was next to the stairs, so it could be loud in the morning.

Kabira is located in a great area- close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself is quiet, clean, with nice sized rooms and outstanding staff. The pools are nice as are the tennis courts and basketball court. We stayed for two weeks and found the price to be fair and appreciated that the restaurant is open 24 hours. The only negative is that our room was near the stairs so could he noisy in the morning and our room overlooked the rubbish heap so while the view was beautiful of the city, it wasn’t nice to look down and see that. I particularly appreciated Sarah who worked in the restaurant for her outstanding service.

It was lovely and the staff warm, kind and accommodating. I just had to switch rooms because my original room smelt like stale cigarette smoke. Just be sure to ask for a non-smoking room if you are sensitive to smoke.
