It has great views of the limestone peaks of the Kamniske Alps and is surrounded by beautiful Alpine countryside. The traditional chalet-style accommodation comprises a large 1st floor bedroom with balcony sleeping four. The downstairs bedroom sleeps two. The living-room has a corner sofa and wood burner for those cosy evenings in. The galley-style kitchen is well equipped. Outside is a large terrace with comfortable seating plus seating for alfresco dining. There is garden on all sides and a barbecue. The basement has laundry facilities and ample storage for skis, etc. With compact but comfortable accommodation, the chalet is ideal as a tranquil all- year-round retreat to 'get away from it all', for a romantic break, Skiing holiday, or a central base within easy reach of all Slovenia's main attractions. \*\* Please note that the stairs in the chalet are quite steep so may not be suitable for very young children of those with mobility issues. \*\* There is plenty of garden and outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful alpine setting of the chalet and there are several very enjoyable walks starting directly from the chalet taking in forests, alpine meadows, the quaint local villages, spectacular views of the mountains and overlooking the whole of the Ljubljana basin. The local town of Kamnik has an excellent choice of restaurants, café bars and shops. This atmospheric little town, with its baroque architecture, narrow streets full of character , castles and churches is a popular choice for visitors, the tourist information office is located in the centre of town along with numerous tempting pavement cafes and bars to enjoy coffee, ice cream or a leisurely lunch. Another local must-see is the high mountain pasture plateau of Velika Planina, 1600m above sea level, with the best-preserved herdsmen settlements in Europe, reached by cable-car ride Activities:: When the snow falls this area is a winter wonderland, with the local ski resort of Krvavec...one of Slovenia's most popular ski resorts only around 9 miles from the chalet. The gondola also operates in the summer, taking paragliders, bikers and walkers. It had plenty of room for our family of four and we've never stayed anywhere so well supplied - it has absolutely everything you could possibly need for a fantastic holiday. Everything has been thought of. It was spotlessly clean and the welcome basket of fruit and wine was much appreciated. The outdoor space is perfect, with a long veranda for sitting out, eating and enjoying the views.Location wise, it's situated up in the hills and has stunning views. It's perfect if you like to get away from towns and have your own space and peace. However, Kamnik town is easily reached in 10 mins by car so it's easy to pick up shopping etc. We really liked Kamnik itself and it's a great base for exploring a lot of the country. The village is delightful and the people we met very friendly especially the children and the farmer with the kittens and horses. Velika Planina is lovely as is the waterfall at Kamniska Bistrica, further afield Skocjan caves, lake Bled and lake Bohinj were a joy to experience. Die Ausstattung ist komplett (gut, eine Geschirrspülmaschine wäre nicht schlecht gewesen) und die Kommunikation mit Bianca äußerst nett und unkompliziert. Die steilen Treppen sind nichts für Kleinkinder (steht ja auch in der Beschreibung), unsere (6 und fast 8 Jahre alt) kamen aber gut damit zurecht. Also volle Empfehlung! Sie gab uns Ausflugstipps. Velika Planina ist von hier aus gut zuerreichen. Die wunderschöne Umgebung lädt zum Wandern ein. Das Chalet ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber empfingen uns überaus freundlich mit Obst und Wein und reagierten schnell auf Anfragen etwa zu Ausflugstipps. Das dreistöckige Chalet ist gemütlich mit einem (Schlaf)Keller, was vor allem in warmen Sommernächten sehr angenehm ist. Dejlig grund og godt udvalg af liggestole, hynder, legeting, badehåndklæder og udendørs grill. Stejle trapper i hytten, så ikke for dårligt gående og små børn. Badeværelse på både stueplan og kælder. Passende til max. 5 personer. Vejen til hytten er smal og stejl, men betyder også at man bliver belønnet med en flot udsigt. Fin og billig friluftsbad i Kamnik til de varme dage og masser af mulighed for vandreture i området. Kort afstand til Ljubljana. Fin med parkering ved huset og nøgleboks. As mentioned the stairs to downstairs are steep but perfectly manageable. What was lovely was the additional access to the woodshed so that we could have the relaxers up on the terrace. The property is very rural, we had a hire car so we were able to travel around and enjoy the sights if Slovenia but you need a car just for shopping. But it's probably worth being rural for the views and the peace and quiet. ##### Ian B. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hat problemlos geklappt. Mark war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider lässt die Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig, alles war verstaubt und sämtliches Geschirr war schmutzig. Ebenso waren mehrere Glühbirnen defekt, die wir dann gewechselt haben. Am schlimmsten war für uns jedoch, als wir beim Batterie wechseln feststellen mussten, dass der Rauchmelder im Schlafzimmer schon vor Jahren hätte ausgetauscht werden müssen. Hier geht es um die Sicherheit der Gäste, daher ist dies für uns nicht akzeptabel. ##### Verena S.
