(820 reviews) I know the desired "vibe" is that of a cozy, quaint accommodation, but I would rather have less cozy and more comfort and convenience. There's no mini fridge, and our room had only one chair. There was only a bar along the wall to hang clothes. The bathroom was quite large. I'd rather have less bathroom and more room. An upgrade was suggested at check-in for a room with a balcony, but as I saw from the outside, the balconies were tiny and IMO not worth the extra $. I have stayed in many hotels and motels, and I have never been charged for a continental breakfast. For $20+, the charge seemed way out of line - especially for such a limited selection. Having said all that, I really liked the sitting/lounge area. The access to a variety of complimentary beverages was much appreciated. The staff were very pleasant, and the location is very convenient for transportation and eats. It's a short walk to the CBD. As much as it seems I have complained, we did enjoy our stay. Still though, it wouldn't take much to make it an exceptional hotel. Make the rooms more accommodating - add a chair. Add a minifridge. Put in an armoire. Provide a complimentary continental breakfast. Really... those are little things that would make a big difference.
