"The staff were very helpful and responsive. We stayed in a maisonnette and like some of the others have said the sea view is blocked partially by the buildings in front. The road that runs in front has parking but it's also noisy, and the balcony had no shade. The apartment was lovely but needed some maintenance - kitchen needed a bit of tidying and the shower head was hanging off. The apartment was also much smaller than the pictures, no breakfast bar and no actual eating table so we had to use...

"This was my favourite stay in Greece. The host was so warm and welcoming everytime. She made me feel like i was at home. The beach is more quiet than Matala and a 10 minute bus ride from Matala if you want to visit the town. Beautiful long beach and restaurants and very peaceful with not many tourists. I liked that the room has fridge, cooking top and kettle with full kitchen utensils. The bathroom is small but hot water is good. I will for sure recommend Haroula's place for your next stay!"

"This accommodation is really for families looking for a long stay at the beach (my wife and I were just stopping for the night, and chose this accommodation because it is very close to the archaeological site at Faistos). You have direct contact with the owner and his manager, whose English is adequate but limited. If booking here, you must obtain directions from the owner, as it is hard to find using Google Maps, etc. Large apartment on the ground floor, near but not on the beach."

"First, the host Anastasia was excellent, good communicator and v helpful. The rooms are set back from the main house in a small block. Perfectly comfortable. Location is quite remote. Very peaceful. Local village Taverna exceedingly friendly. We were end of season and only guests and had the place to ourselves which we enjoyed. "

"Thalori is incredible - the best part of our trip to Crete. It's very peaceful and far from nearby towns, so if you're a fan of places like Matala, you probably will not enjoy Thalori. "This was a superb apartment with a postcard perfect view of the Libyan Sea and sunsets that took our breath away. Our host and those who helped him could not have done more to make our stay more pleasant. We visited archaeological sites across Crete, using this apartment as our base. Be sure to go to the Moires market on Saturday mornings, sit at one of the cafés, and make friends with those around you, it's an experience you won't forget."
