Great family getaway!

Our time at the ranch house was so peaceful! Second visit here, we love the house, land, and views. And the hosts are so accommodating and warm. Highly recommend!

Family Wedding housing

Communication top notch, checked for any needs and responsive to my high maintenance needs and questions prior to stay. I loved the binder with history I really felt like I was blessed to stay in gramas house. So peaceful take time to sit and enjoy the view, trees, and the sounds of a quiet old farm house. A quiet & peaceful place to end your day

A well maintained old farmhouse with a lot of original charm... including NO TV's! And still plenty for the kids to do. It has all the amenities needed, clean comfortable beds & well stocked. Close enough to the freeway for convenience but far enough for dad, mom & 5 kids to finish out the day. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Relaxing Farm House

My self and my three kids stayed here and it was a great experience. I loved the style of the house and the simplicity of it. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well outfitted.

Country family retreat.

A nice country farmhouse that accommodated seven of us comfortably while we were in the area for a few days to attend a wedding. The kids loved roaming the property and checking out the fruit trees and we all enjoyed the provided board games in the evening. A nice and quiet, family orientated, country retreat. Communication with the property owner was outstanding as she was very quick to respond and very accommodating. If in the area again, I will definitely try to book this location. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Property With Amazing Views. Cute Cottage

Really great time staying here. Extremely quiet and pleasant. Location is amazing. Saw a handful of deer and small foxes. Interior was very comfortable and cool during summer. Great for the price. Felt safe.

A piece of country heaven

This was such a great spot to enjoy some quality family time unplugged. From the well stocked kitchen to cook healthy food while on vacation to the spectacular view, everything was amazing. My daughter is usually glued to electronics but with no tv to distract her we read, played games, and all enjoyed each other's company. We are already planning when to go back.

Ranch house stay

Stayed here with family and little ones, such a peaceful getaway! The ranch house is surrounded by nature with beautiful views. The house and land has so much history and character, we felt lucky to experience the place. Owners are so thoughtful and nice! House has all the amenities you need too. We’ll be back!

This what the perfect solution for our family while visiting our family in Cowlitz county. Cheaper than two hotel rooms and very charming. Wish we would have had more time to hang out on the property.

Peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home.

We booked the property looking for a convenient place to stay while fishing in the area. What we got was a friendly accommodating host who made sure we had everything we needed (thanks Liz). The place is an older home, beautifully updated to preserve the historic feel. The home sits on a grassy pasture with territorial views. While it was perfectly located for our fishing trip it made for a really cool place to relax after a long day on the river. I’ll consider coming back with the family.

Incredible Stay

The most peaceful, beautiful stay. The host went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible, and her communication was top notch. The house has been tastefully updated and you cannot beat the scenery. You’ll be tucked into the rolling hills of Kalama with a view of the river, with a sense of calm that seems so rare to find nowadays. Don’t wait, book it!

Perfectly Peaceful Retreat

My 2nd stay at the ranch and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am able to have my family come up and visit and there's plenty of room. The communication with the owner of the ranch has been flawless and check in as well as check out and my entire trip have been an enjoyment . I will look forward to staying there again when I return!

A Christmas Vacation to be remembered

An adorable farmhouse with character and charm! Our family Christmas was one of the best Christmases we have spent in oh so long time. The cute aluminum tree with the 50s ornaments, inside decorations, and Patio welcome of lights and candy canes was heartwarming. We then decorated the rest of the home for a very festive, family oriented, game playing time. All of the board games and card games were a plus. The property owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. This place is a family's dream. Thank you Newman family for the opportunity to visit your wonderful Ranch.

Thanksgiving at the ranch house

We rented this charming ranch house to host our family Thanksgiving. It was just perfect! The owner was so hospitable to provide us with communication on what the kitchen was stocked with for our cooking, suggested activities for family members, and welcomed us with a beautiful fall table bouquet. The house and furnishings were in great condition and we loved that the authenticity and history of the place was maintained. The ranch house brought back so many memories for my parents of their younger years. The hillside was so peaceful. It was a perfect place to spend family time!

Love the House

I thought the house was adorable. The only concern with the home is that it was colder than I would like. It would be nice to have plenty of heaters to warm the home. Also, would love the windows in the bedrooms to have window coverings for privacy as well as keeping the light out in the morning. It would be perfect other than that. Thank you for sharing your property.

Everything about the property was fantastic. The home was gorgeous, well kept, and very comfortable for my family. The only recommendation I would give to future guests is to follow the driving instructions sent by the property manager. Do not follow Google maps. It is an isolated location, and Google maps takes you to a completely different area. Listen to the host.

A wonderful place to stay

What a great place to stay. The house is an old farmhouse totally restored. Emaculate, large, plenty of room for 7 people. All the amenities you could want. The beds and bedding were so clean, and comfy. It is definitely out in the country which was so enjoyable. Very quiet, peaceful with a view of the Columbia River below. We picked grapes, apples, pears and berries. Liz is the best!! We will be back for sure.

Quiet and Simple

This property is EXACTLY as advertised. A quaint farmhouse built in 1910 with a fantastic view. The property pictures don’t do it justice. The quiet, the antique furnishings, the landscape, the simplicity. A very nice experience all around. The owner of the property is very nice and helpful. When we arrived there was a problem with the internet service and she graciously traded messages with me until the issue was resolved shortly there after. Overall, a great choice for getting away for a weekend or a small family gathering.

Schönes altes Farmhaus

Das Farmhaus hat viel Charme und atmet Geschichte. Es ist schön hell und hat einen schönen Blick ins Tal. Auf der Terrasse konnten wir schön sitzen. Das Haus war ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um Mt. St. Helens auf der Südroute zu erkunden. Liz war sehr hilfsbereit und stets gut zu erreichen.
