Keauhou Lani: Spacious 4BR retreat

"Not to be a broken record, but the house and the views are better than the pictures. This house was perfect for 6 adults and 2 small children. The lanai and the pool were perfect for the kids and the adults. We have rented many houses over the years, but this one is in the top handful. Some things that stood out were: 1) the beds, they were all very comfortable; 2) the house is actually stocked with supplies, so no need to make a urgent run to buy soap, paper towels, toilet paper, dish or laundry soap; 3) the private suite on the bottom floor was just phenomenal. It was a amazing space to retreat to when you needed a bit of quiet time; 4) the lanai is literally 3 or 4 different spots to sit and experience the beautiful views; 5) the management team was super responsive…..nothing worth noting, but requests were addressed quickly and professionally; and 6) there were plenty of beach towels on the lanai and everything you need for the beach in the garage (chairs, snorkels, boogie boards, etc.). The one thing I would add is a tip for people heading that way…..Hāpuna Beach State Park. It was just under an hour away, but it was well worth the drive. We had 2 small children who wanted a sandy beach. Hapuna is a sandy beach with a bit of lava rock versus a lava rock beach with a little bit of sand. There is ample parking, restrooms and some trees along the edge that provided great shade. Just pack an ice chest (in the garage) with snacks and drinks."

"Fantastic spot just south of Kailua-Kona proper! Great views, great place, looked exactly like the pictures and communication with hosts was great! The unit was clean, comfortable and well-appointed with all the things you might want/appreciate! There is a small shopping center very close-by with coffee, bookstore, a few restaurants and a Longs Drugs (handy for last-minute stuff like insect spray, more sunblock, the occasional food item, etc...). Lanai in the AM for coffee/breakfast and PM sunsets was the BEST! The property had a nice pool and tennis courts that we used a few times when not exploring, but they were not overrun as can happen with a "resort". This is a great place to explore the "big" island from the leeward/west side of the island. Easy drives to many beach spots for snorkeling, water activities and a slightly longer drive to the beaches in the north (sandy beaches) for some relaxation. A longer drive takes you to Volcano National Park and Hilo. A beautiful spot - would love to stay again!"

"We had a wonderful stay in the townhouse. It was so well stocked with household items as well as things for the beach. The views were beautiful even with high tide. We used the pool and tennis/ pickleball courts on our downtime. It was very chill and stress free, exactly what we hoped for during our stay."

"We dined at Piko for dinner twice. The food was okay, but could be better. I think in 2026 it’s time to introduce a dedicated mocktail menu, rather than asking folks to just pick an alcohol cocktail and do the math on wanting to remove the spirits and see what happens. The room was fine, I appreciated all the bed side plug in options. The pool was excellent :)"

"This villas are roomy and clean. Located well near shopping plazas and a really great snorkeling spot. They have full kitchen, washer, dryer so makes it convenient for travel since you can do your own laundry resulting in not needing to pack too heavy. Staffs are friendly and can give you rides from parking to the villa if you need help with luggage or groceries. Would stay here again if I come back to Kona."

"Nothing short of magical! This property is an amazing home base for snorkeling and west coast beaches. Luxurious for our family of four in terms of space; beds were very comfortable. The best is dinner watching the sunset, listening to the surf as you fall asleep, coffee with the dolphins in the morning. Everything you need in this well appointed kitchen, beach gear in the closet. Grocery store is convenient. The saddest part is leaving. We will be back! Thank you thank you to Janice and Bruce for such an amazing time!!!!"
