Spring/Summer openings! Why settle for ocean view when you can have OCEANFRONT! You could throw a coconut to the water from our deck. THE RAINBOW AND SUNSET PICTURE WERE TAKEN FROM OUR LANAI. Papakea L-305 is as close as you can get to the ocean and offers easy access to world famous Kaanapali Beach for long walks in the sand. Watch the world go by from the lanai with the privacy of being on the 3rd floor. Watch the whales (Nov - April) from your deck while you drink your morning coffee or with evening cocktails as you watch the sunset. Let the waves lull you to sleep. The master suite and living room have breathtaking views looking across the channel to the islands of Lanai and Molokai. We are one of the few units with both ocean front views in the living area and master bedroom. Most of the units have all the bedrooms to the back of the condo. New air-conditioning unit in both bedrooms and the living area. Fully remodeled. Sliding glass doors that open from the center bringing more of the view in. New tiles floors throughout. Newly remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops, natural cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances. Fully appointed making cooking and eating in a breeze. Newly remodeled bathrooms. Master bath is an en-suite with a new walk in shower. Second bathroom also has a newly remodeled walk in shower. The Papakea Oceanfront Resort is a tropical oasis of 13 acres of manicured grounds. It has the largest amount of land of any condominium resort on Maui's Kaanapali beach, the only resort with two oceanfront pools, two spas, two 12 hole putting greens. Grounds also include three lighted tennis courts, two shuffleboards, two beach cabanas, tranquil koi ponds, lush gardens and 12 outdoor barbecues. This is one of the best locations on Maui! From your lanai, enjoy ever-changing ocean views of beautiful sunsets, rainbows, dolphins, turtles, seals, whales(Nov.-April), surfers and boats. You will be footsteps away from great swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing and relaxation. This 3rd floor unit, in the desired 'L 'building, is an oceanfront unit with central air and ceiling fans throughout. Kitchen is fully equipped. The bathrooms are complete with new cabinets, granite counter tops and walk in showers. Of the waterfront buildings, the 'L' building has the closest parking to the building and an elevator. It is also the closest to the year round beach next door as the beach in front of us comes and goes with the tides. This 2 bedroom IS NOT A LOFT! This condo has two very private bedrooms and A/C throughout or fans cool the condo easier than a two story loft area. The condo sleeps four to six with a California king bed in the master bedroom. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves. All rooms are on the same level. If you tire of the view, there are two flat screen TV's in the living room and master bedroom. Two twin beds in the second bedroom can be turned into a king bed upon request. The living room sofa is a queen size sleeper sofa. There is a washer/dryer in unit. This unit is equipped with golf putters, tennis rackets, various snorkel equipment, beach toys, collapsible cooler and beach chairs. The Papakea Resort is a tropical oasis of 13 acres of manicured grounds. It has the largest amount of land of any condominium resort on Maui's Kaanapali beach, the only resort with two oceanfront pools, two spas, two 12 hole putting greens. Grounds also include three lighted tennis courts, two shuffleboards, two beach cabanas, tranquil koi ponds, lush gardens and 12 outdoor barbecues. Papakea is conveniently located between the Kaanapali and Kapalua world class golf resorts, just minutes away from Lahaina and Whalers Village. A grocery store, restaurants and shops are conveniently located just across the street. Our Maui oceanfront condo is OWNER OPERATED AND PRIVATELY OWNED. Our condo is not in the Rental Program although we do have a on island manager if issues should arise, so rest assured that our condo that you see here, is the one that you will rent from us. NO RESORT FEE AS OF JULY 1\. 2025!! PLEASE NOTE: 1\. Papakea Resort is undergoing a 2-year "Interior Renovation" project to replace all indoor pipes. Noise is not expected to be audible in the condo, but there may be noise on some parts of the property (M-F 8am-5pm). The condo is being priced taking this construction work into consideration during the renovation. Building L will begin February 20, 2026 in the 01 block (we are in the 05 block) our block will begin March 24, 2026 and the entire L building is scheduled to be completed by May 1, 2026\. Our oceanfront unit was very nice and the closet well stocked with beach toys and chairs etc. a little maintenance on the slatted glass louver windows to make them open and close fully would be helpful! This is a great unit in a great complex offered by a great host. The condo is located on the west side of Maui right next to Kaanapali beach. As in the description, the kitchen and bathroom have been nicely updated. We are a family of four and the condo provided plenty of space for us all. Communication with the host was great in answering all our questions and accommodating us by converting the twin beds into a king. We so enjoyed listening to the ocean and watching the whales in the morning with our coffee. This place will be recommended to any of our family and friends going to Hawaii. ##### Steve C. The views amazing looking out over the ocean, every night we enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets from the lanai and during the day the whales were happily playing! And the sounds of the ocean were the only music we needed! We appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels and other beach toys. Papakea Resort is walking distance to shopping, the beach walk, beaches and plenty of restaurants. A quick drive to Whaler’s for more shopping and good restaurants. The grounds are well maintained, and there are barbecues available. We look forward to our next trip to Maui and stay in this wonderful condo. ##### Beth W. (next time I'll make sure I bring my binoculars for even better viewing).Loved the closeness to other resort areas to the south by using the boardwalk starting at the Papakea property. Yes, a bit of a dodge around two properties that don't connect, but once we learned the route it was easy-peasy. Could walk to Duke's restaurant at Honu Kai in just 12 minutes, and then continue on all the way to near Black Rock Point for a nice 5 mile round trip walk.Plenty of close by places to eat, Times Market just a 5 minute walk, plus other shops. An ABC market is even closer through a back-gate on the property which is great.Papi's cinnamon rolls is a real gem.... but you better be in line 20 minutes before they open at 7am, or you may have a long hour wait to enjoy them. We usually stay at a more secluded area of the island so we really enjoyed being able to walk to some cafes and coffee shops. The food truck park was a big hit for our group too. One note - my personal experience is that rentals on VRBO often don't come with as many amenities. This one had a large number of bathrooom towels which was an unexpected bonus - but you'll need paper towels and trash bags, dishwasher detergent, etc. (There will be enough for your first day or two)This isn't uncommon in other Maui rentals - but it's nice to know ahead of time. The complex is absolutely stunning and just minutes from some of the island’s most beautiful beaches.We could literally watch turtles swimming in the sea right from the window, and the sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep every night. The kitchen was very well-equipped with everything we needed, and we loved that there were outdoor BBQs available (spotlessly clean, just like the rest of the property).The beds were extremely comfortable, the apartment was spotless, and honestly we felt completely at home. The view from this particular unit is amazing from sun up to sun down (and even great for star gazing!). We enjoyed most meals on the lanai turtle watching, listening to the waves, and all around relaxing. Host was incredibly kind and wonderful with her communication. It was hot during our stay and the A/C worked great - appreciated having the split units and the option to open the windows and allow the trade winds to come through. We were very comfortable! There's a great surf shop for rentals, a grocery store, and a coffee and pastry cafe, all within a 5-minute walk. The beach is just to the left, we walked it nightly and stopped off at different resorts to eat. The place has a beautiful view of the ocean and space for the family. This place is definitely a top pick for a unit if you want to have a direct view of the ocean. Our family was planning on breaking our stay up between the north, south, and East areas.
