E Komo Mai! You will begin your Mahana tropical experience when you open the front door! From our ocean front condo on the 11th of 12 floors, you will see windows that go from the floor to the ceiling, & wall to wall in the living room. The Pacific Ocean is right there! On closer inspection, you will see the islands of Lanai'i to the south, Molokai'i to the north, beach going north towards Honokowai or south towards Black Rock. The lanai is fully fronted on the Pacific Ocean with access from both the living area and the bedroom through large wall to wall, ceiling to floor sliding-glass lanai doors. In the bedroom, this allows for a total view of the ocean when you wake up! This gives you the guaranteed view! Now the second part of the Mahana experience is the sound! Open the lanai door (either one of them or both!), and hear the Pacific Ocean kiss the beach that is literally a stone's throw away! A true delight for your senses! To keep the unit at its Premium Level, we make various upgrades each year. There is porcelain flooring throughout the entire unit with custom built-in cherry wood and granite cabinetry in the kitchen, the bathroom, and the living room, as well as custom soffit light features in kitchen and living area. This is one of the few resorts that is on a sandy, swimming beach with DIRECT ocean front views and A/C. The views are to die for, whether you are sitting in your living room, getting a snack in the kitchen, on your private lanai, swimming in the ocean, at the ocean-front pool, or relaxing in the hot tub! At the Mahana you will experience an upscale boutique resort atmosphere on Ka'anapali's scenic North Beach, yet the quiet surroundings provide uncommon privacy. Breathtaking Pacific Ocean views, including the beautiful islands of Lanai'i to the south and Molokai'i to the north, seem to meet you at your living room floor to ceiling window. Each morning will start with this wondrous view as you gaze out your bedroom ceiling to floor window. From the lanai, you can enjoy many tropical sights and sounds as you enjoy your morning coffee or your sunset-watching libation. Shopping and dining options are nearby, and the famous Whalers Village, with its eclectic blend of boutiques and memorabilia shops - there's even a whaler's museum - is just a short drive or walk away. With the Mahana's central location, golfers will enjoy the closeness to Kapalua and Ka'anapali's golf courses. A boardwalk starts just outside the Mahana, and ends at the Hyatt Regency – about 3 miles away. It goes through Whalers Village in the heart of Ka'anapali Beach. On this walkway, there are parks, water activity rental kiosks, and restaurants, so driving isn't a necessity for a myriad of activities. The restaurant 'Duke's Beach Grill' is just next door - a few minutes walking distance - serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with ocean front views! Our staff takes pride in providing sparkling clean properties. Therefore, we have enhanced our already stringent cleaning protocols between guests. Well.... this is it. This is the only place we will stay in Maui from this point forward. From the amazing 11th floor view, literally right on the water, to the wonderful beach immediately to the left of our building (beach is great for snorkeling and we even saw sea turtles knee deep at the waters edge) to the pool area with gas BBQ's. If you enjoy walking or running, there is a one mile boardwalk starting at our condo building and running along the ocean front. The wonderful restaurant, Dukes, is just a two minute walk away. Another two minute walk from the condo is the Honoapiilani Food Truck Park. The condo itself was very clean upon arrival and had all the essentials we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella and an ice chest. Very comfortable king size bed and air conditioning. The grounds at the Mahana are just beautiful as well. This condo suited us perfectly and again this will be our "go to" place when we return to Maui, hopefully each year :) ##### Jill C. The Kitchen was filled with everything you would need. We loved the large walk-in shower and separate vanity. The washer and dryer came in handy. The boardwalk entrance is in front of the building for morning and evening strolls. The beach is just downstairs and to the left more and more beach to choose from. Close to grocery store and tons of restaurants. Short drive to the pier for cruises and snorkeling. Condo was clean and well appointed. I really appreciate the extra effort at having portable AC units while the roof was being fixed. That was a very thoughful touch. The pool had a beautiful view of the ocean and there was always plenty of seating, unlike some of the resorts nearby. Already planning our next trip there. The unit itself was very nicely appointed and consistent with the listing pictures. All the units at the Mahana have spectacular views and being in this higher floor unit the views become even more amazing.Our host and their property managers were very accommodating with our requests and a pleasure to work with. Right on the ocean! We watched turtles and whales and dolphins from our lani everyday. We also walked on the walking path every morning for over an hour! We used the pool and hot tub every evening and slept with our lani door open so we could hear crashing waves! We drove to other beaches but found right out in front of the resort a great beach… almost no people and we snorkeled right from shore with the turtles. And to top everything off a Hawaiian Monk Seal beached itself on our beach just under our lani. So we watched that for a day before it went back into the ocean. Unlike some others I'd read about in this building, this unit was spotless with everything up-to-date. The best -- and the reason we'll return -- is the location. On the 11th floor overlooking the Ocean. Lanai on the left, Molokai on the right and nothing but the sounds of the ocean 24/7\. There's not as much on-site activities as other units around, but that's just fine. I wouldn't trade the evening sunsets and the sounds of the ocean for anything. We usually had a big lunch somewhere, brought home leftovers and sat out on the balcony with cheese, crackers, wine and/or beer, and totally relaxed at night.
