A major dissapointment

Cons: The hotel needs a complete reno. Outdated, carpets and flooring are stained. Showers leak. Roofs leak.
Horrible stay at this hotel. It is very outdated, smells, floors are stained, linens and towels were dirty. The overall of hygiene and cleanliness is just not there. The roof in the gym leaks.

Pros: The location. It is well situated by the beach.
Cons: Your rooms are not cheap so make sure your basic amenities are in order.
Location: Across the street from the hotel you get some excellent Bombay street food if you are adventurous.
Beware of rooms on the 3rd floor. Our air conditioning broke down in the middle of the night and the guy that came to repair it said "the filter was obstructing the air flow". The filter does not obstruct but purify the air, so obviously, if it is impeding the airflow then there is something wrong with the fan or the compressor. The manager on duty was kind enough to move us to another room on the same floor. We got some sleep but it wasn't good enough. The new room wreaked of cigarette smoke even though these are supposed to be "non-smoking" rooms. We were told the next day that they cannot help it if people smoke in their rooms. Finally, we were moved to the sixth floor with a great view. This was an excellent upgrade. Their rooms are already overpriced for the basic rooms but if you really want a decent room then you have to be willing to dish out for an oceanview room on a higher floor.

We had a Plesant stay , pool was nice , we had food and drinks delivered at pool , kids enjoyed that part....

Great hotel adjacent the beach

Great week's stay at Novotel. I had a deluxe room on the 6th floor with partial sea view. Room was always well cleaned and bottled water provided daily. Good breakfast variety and chef obliged to cook my poached egg every morning. Gym well equipped and pool and pool side was kept clean. Definitely come back and recommend to a friend.

The room was dark. The AC in the room was not working. Had to change the room twice for that. Due to many events in the hotel late in the night it was very noisy. The safe lockers in the room was not working. The fittings in the washroom were not fixed properly. The hotel staff was courteous but helpless. Not worth going again for sure.

Nice hotel, with beach view.

Pros: Pool, setting by the beach, quiet location away from noise.
Cons: Why not have direct access to the beach from the hotel.
Location: Choice of restaurants within a 10 minute rickshaw ride.
This was our second stay at this particular hotel. Little has changed over the 2 years, pool remains nice and clean and rooms as they were before. Good but possibly in need of new mattresses. They seemed a bit hard. Wifi was a bit hit or miss, needed many visits or calls for help in accessing. Sadly, main issue this visit was that because of several corporate and private events, a large section of the hotel was out of bounds for regular guests, which meant we could not use the facilities which we had paid for. When this was voiced to senior management, they addressed the issue, but I feel that the hotel should have looked after guests needs also.
