RV near Shirley
The area is abundant in beaches and quaint places to visit. We were greeted by the hosts, Ian and Jodi, who gave us a tour of the RV and amenities. They were great! We made good use of the hot tub and fire pit. The RV contained everything you'd need for your stay. Enjoy!

The Great Escape
The Great Escape is an affordable option in a great location for enjoyment of the west coast beaches and sights along the "Circle Route" and along Hwy 14. We enjoyed the hot tub, private accommodation, nearby lighthouse and Shirley Delicious coffee shop. The host personally walked us through the RV showing us everything in detail before leaving us to enjoy our stay.

Perfect retreat!
The Great Escape, offers just that. Thank you for a wonderful retreat. The motorhome felt like my very own forest ship! Lady, my dog and I really enjoyed exploring the area and walking all the beaches. We enjoyed ourselves so much, thanks and hope to be back! Grace and Lady Bear

Epic Stay
Better than advertised in our opinion. Epic beaches, epic accommodations, epic hosts. No question that we will be back. For a more practical description, you get the camping experience without having to sacrifice any comfort or convenience. Propane fire pit and private hot tub to relax by after a day hiking amazing beaches. Queen bed, sleep number and very comfy. Don't miss Shirley Delicious or Stoked. Our hosts were lovely. Cheers!

Nice quiet Motorhome with everything we needed
We really enjoyed our stay for 3 nights in this motorhome. Although it's a bit older, Ian and Jodi keep it in tip top shape. Super clean inside with everything we needed. The queen sized bed is very comfortable with nice linens and great mattress. The hot tub was perfect and hot! We didn't end up using the propane fire pit as we were happy crawling in after busy days on the island. Friendly owners were very helpful but allowed needed privacy too. They gave us two great restaurants options nearby that were soooo good. Shirley Delicious and Stoked Fire pizza are an absolute must. Cute vibes and really great food. Best pizza we've had in a while. Wouldn't hesitate to rent again:)

Everything about The Great Escape, beginning with pre-arrival communication with Ian and Jodi, check in, etc. was exceptional. We had everything and more than we required. The unit was very clean and exceptionally well equipped. The hot tub under the stars and in such a quiet location was healing. We will definitely book again in the future.

If you wanna relax
Great place to kick back and relax with accessibility to some of the best beaches on the coast. The hot tub was great and we had everything we needed. The owner even gave me some scotch as it was my birthday and i mentioned forgetting mine. I highly recommend.

It was great to ne able to have my dog with me.
I really enjoyed my stay… unfortunately my elderly aunt found it difficult to get into the coach & it was very tight in the bedroom where she stayed plus she wasn’t able to get into the hot tub. I enjoyed it twice. I mentioned adding a handrail for the entrance & Ian agreed it would be a good idea. The privacy of the property was great & Ian was available for any questions & concerns.

A hidden gem!
We had such a wonderful stay! It truly was a 'Great Escape'! The hosts were so wonderful and helpful and the accomodations were perfect. The hot tub really added an extra element of relaxation after days of exploring the beautiful beaches. We can't wait to come back!

Relaxing getaway for family vacation
My parents came to visit me from Alberta on Vacation and we were dying to go in a hot tub in a nice place, but was not looking forward to the steep prices of most hotels and resorts. Then I found this pet friendly property. You get so much for the price and the communication with the owners was always prompt and friendly. Its quiet, private, and most importantly, relaxing. I would definitely book with them again in the future. The only critique I will give would be was that we were looking forward to the use of a wood firepit to make smores and smokies, but upon arrival, we were told that it wasnt available to us. There was, however, a propane fire pit as well as a propane barbeque so we were still able to enjoy ourselves. :) Would definitely recommend!

Perfect little getaway spot
The hosts were amazing. There was a power outage shortly after arriving and Ian made sure that we had the generator running and that we were comfortable. The hot tub was perfect and it was exceptionally clean. Would recommend!

Relaxing Getaway
Great place to relax. The wonderful hot tub under the stars was a highlight. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and Ian and his wife were great hosts. The coach had everything we needed and was a real pleasure to stay in.

Perfect Covid Vacay
The coach, area and the hot tub were fantastic! We hiked around the area and came home to a private area with in the trees and the bed was very comfortable. It was a great place to keep away from a lot of people and enjoy a quick holiday! Thank you so much!

Relaxing Getaway
We had a wonderful time at The Great Escape in Shirley, BC! The trails are right beside the coach and there are quite a few lovely beaches nearby. The hot tub under the stars was amazing! The coach is right beside their home but I'm glad we were given the privacy that we were looking for.
