Ocean View Retreat
Hosts were very hospitable and helpful! Property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The gift basket was very generous and wonderful soaps provided. The kitchen was compact but well stocked. Comfortable beds and lovely linens. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend this property!

Peaceful retreat
Very pleasant hosts, beautiful setting with spectacular views of the sunset, mountains and the strait. The clear starry nights were incredible. Loved the sun filled great room.

Classic Elegance
We loved the property. The elegance made us feel like royalty. Wish we could have stayed longer. Supper was awesome with the bbq and dessert was even better while we sat beside the fire This suite is 100% wheelchair friendly. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that couldn’t match the wheelchair features available here. Definitely on our list to return some day.

Wonderful Stay
We had a lovely stay at Tanya and Terry's suite. It was exactly as pictured. The suite is completely private, even when sitting out on the covered deck. It has a lovely view of the ocean and the backyard is beautiful and HUGE. The welcome basket was such a thoughtful touch, and meant that we were able to make ourselves a scrummy breakfast with locally sourced bread, granola, eggs, etc. We will definitely return!

Sweet Serenity
The property was amazing. Our 2 bedroom suite was outstanding. Loved the bonus of a porch. We spent many hours there, enjoying the views and the animals that visited daily. The owners Tanya and Terry treat you like family. Will return someday.

Sets the bar
The only downside of staying here at the beginning of your trip is knowing the rest of the places you stay won’t be as good! The house is beautiful, spacious, well-stocked, clean and very quiet. Outside, it has a huge sitting area and lawn, with a view across the water to the mountains. Being west of town, it’s handy to Sooke and easy drives to hiking. Highly recommended.

Beautiful stay in Sooke
Our family of four, my husband and I, our daughter, and SIL thoroughly enjoyed this special property. Tanya and Terry are delightful and provided us with extra touches like fresh bread, jam and eggs, coffee, granola, chocolate etc. — All devoured and appreciated. The suite was spotless and very nicely appointed. Plentiful and comfortable seating inside and out was enjoyed by all as we enjoyed the view and listened to the sea lions and gulls. Thank you!

Quite Island Paradise

Spectacular VRBO
A stunningly beautiful property. Well appointed for travel to many hiking trails, stunning forests and shops in Sooke. Close enough for a trip into Victoria. My daughter and I completely fell in love with the area and the local community.

Spent 3 wonderful days at this property and were sorry we hadn’t booked more nights. Very peaceful property with decent views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The grounds are indeed park like. Enjoyed seeing the rabbits and the occasional deer wander by. Hosts are wry accommodating and provided us with a great restaurant recommendation. Plan to return some day.

The VRBO owners Tanya and Terry were very friendly and easy to deal with. The accommodations were beautiful and relaxing from the incredible welcoming gift basket to the large well maintained grounds to stroll around. Gorgeous property!
Beautiful property and accommodations! Very private and quiet! Large patio and covered deck is awesome. Views are incredible and close to lots of activities. Tanya and Terry are great hosts! We even had a golf cart to drive around the property! Everything was great and we would definitely return and recommend.

First Class Place, First Class Owners, Beautiful Location
We loved our stay here. Place has spacious lawn and grounds , large patio, pergola all with view of the Straits of Juan de Fuca, and large bay windows inside to also enjoy the view. Terry and Tanya, the very nice owners, keep the place immaculate with quality furnishings and everything you need. The generous welcome basket of goodies, many locally sourced, was delicious and much appreciated. This is a place where you really look forward to coming home to!

Our Sooke stay!
The house is large and every corner is beautiful. The stay and host's property is connected, but with separate entrances of course. Tanya and Terry are wonderful hosts- responsive, kind and thoughtful. The property is away from the town centre, but close enough to it as well :)

Peacful retreat with everything you need
from booking to check out our hosts were wonderful. The pictures are exactly what you get when you arrive. We have very high pressure jobs & although I still worked in the mornings due to the time diff I was able to have the afternoons & evenings to relax. From deer prancing through the property to picking fresh berries on the property it was all just so peaceful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Tranquil spot with amazing views
We had an amazing time at this absolutely spotless and well maintained property. The location is fantastic - we spent most of the time on the patio with the far reaching views. The interior is so thoughtful put together - flowers in every room including the bathrooms - and the hosts is absolutely wonderful. A place to switch off and relax.

If I could give more stars for clean I would. It is clean to perfection. The views are gorgeous & beds are comfy. Well stocked. Lots of towels and if you need anything it shows up at your door in a very timely manner. If you are a larger group be aware there is only a half fridge. But who really cares everything else surpasses excellent. We would stay again in a minute.

Truly serene
This VRBO is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed, over many years of travel. The setting is incredible, gorgeous views, rural, so quiet and peaceful. The suite was beautifully decorated and appointed, and spotless. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The extras were much appreciated- fresh bread, eggs, homemade jam, granola, good coffee, and also the treats- chocolate and chips. We felt very spoiled. It is a convenient location for exploring along the West coast with many parks and trails to explore. We would return in a heartbeat, and recommend it highly. Incredible property! Dazzling view! Great hosts. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is small but complete, don't bring a turkey. Mt. Olympus is directly across the strait! There is almost too much to see. We will be back!

What an amazing property!
Beautiful suite on an amazing property! Geese and Deer roaming the property, and next door Alpacas! We had everything we needed, including a great welcome basket from the hosts upon arrival. We had a bit of an emergency, everyone was so helpful! We will be back! And next time, I'm going to bubble wrap my mother :)
