"Very much a bare-minimum place, but sometimes that's all you need to be in a remarkable little town.I would not have wanted to try to put 6 people in here (we were 3).Dreadful towels, out of soap, low on toilet paper - maybe better communication with the cleaner is needed? The experience of being in the heart of a place like this meant we didn't care all that much about the facilities being very poor, but please don't come here with expectations of conventional standards for a holiday rental....

Le Chalet Fleuri

8/10 Good

"A stop on a long multi-week charity trike ride. The staff were friendly and helped me store my trike, the room was clean and warm and the bed very comfy."

Country house 11 bedrooms, indoor heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi. Woods and lakes.

10/10 Excellent

"We just had the most wonderful family holiday at The Forge — 14 of us in total, and it comfortably had space for everyone. The photos genuinely don't do the place justice; it's even more beautiful in person. The pool and hot tub were a real highlight and got plenty of use throughout our stay. Sabina was fantastic from start to finish — always helpful and full of great local tips on things to do and where to eat, which made planning our days so easy. Some of our favourite moments were the quiet evenings: sitting out on the terrace at night with a nice bottle of wine, watching the stars and playing cards together. Those are the memories that will stay with us.A truly special place for a big family gathering, and we'd love to come back. Highly recommended!"

Country house on a large private lot - Pets welcome

10/10 Excellent

"The single best word I could use to describe this gîte is "idyllic". It's a truly, exceptionally beautiful and relaxing stay, with a large, beautiful property surrounding it, including a mini vineyard, a pond where we loved to sit and sip wine while our child threw tennis balls for our Labrador so she could swim, a frog pond where our son named all the frogs and a lovely wooded area. The house itself is better than even the pics show, spacious and beautifully decorated, incredibly well-appointed kitchen with everything you could need and more. Our hosts met us at the property, explained everything and seemed to take genuine pleasure in meeting us and our kids and showing us their amazing property. We are desperate to go back, it was so lovely!Only minor issue was relatively unreliable internet, but with views and experiences like that (and functional 4G on our phones), we didn't really miss it."

Hotel des Deux Porches

8/10 Good

"We liked the property and had a great nights sleep in The Star Wars room (No 17) great IF you are a fan! Very clean and comfortable with lovely bathroom. It was a very hot night but there was a good fan in the bedroom.Unfortunately unknown to us it was a Saturday and a Saints day ( frequent in France) so bar and bistro were closed ( as was everything else in the village)and we had to check ourselves in. Thanks to google we drove out and found a nice little place to eat and drink. Breakfast was a lovely continental one and we met our host who was extremely pleasant. Good value and great for an overnight stay."

2 Bedroom & 2 Bathroom Gîte Cottage Heated Plunge Pool & Private Garden 86150

10/10 Excellent

"Amazing Location, everything you need is close by, the house and garden are beautiful, and we could not praise the hosts enough, they really went out of their way to make sure we were ok and were very helpful. We will definitely be back, thank you Jo and Jamshid"
