I absolutely love this place, so cozy. Only 5 miles to the park, and plenty of stores around and a saloon that is a 5 minute walk with great food!

So convenient!
This was just perfect for a little mini-vacation to Joshua Tree. It was close enough that we could hike at the national park in the morning, come back and eat lunch, then go again to the park to watch the sunset. We had a great time in this comfortable space.

Everything went to plan, place was as advertised, very close to Joshua Tree Park entrance. It was very comfortable and included everything you would need during a stay, even foam earplugs for the roosters crowing the break of day, it didn’t bother me, it added to the overall experience.

Home away from home
Everything we needed and super comfy! AC was nice to come home to...bed was comfortable....spacious....efficient kitchen....great location. If we go back to Joshua Tree we'll be staying here again!

Perfect location
Great place to stay in Joshua Tree. A block from the Joshua Tree National Park visitor center and entrance to the park is up the road. Super convenient. Walking distance to eateries and points of interest. The home itself is clean and quiet and very comfortable! Loved my stay.

If you are going to Joshua Tree, this is the place to stay! 5 minutes WALKING distance to the Visitor Center, peaceful, well kept, loft bedroom put us closer to the stars! Highly recommended!

Convenient location
Nice space, well appointed and a great size for a couple. It has everything you need for a short stay. Area was quiet. I will have to agree with another reviewer in that the mattress does sag in the middle and the tv has some issues with sound. Also, the washer and dryer are shared by 6 units in a central location. I had assumed they were in the unit.

Great location!
Check in and check out were so simple! I was surprised that there was no list of cleaning instructions. The property manager told us to enjoy our trip. So refreshing after past experiences with other properties. We walked, yes, walked! To the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor’s Center. It is so close! The property manager provided ear plugs which was nice because there are chickens nearby, coyotes, and the heater makes some noise. My husband slept great with the ear plugs and I slept great without them. We will definitely stay here again!

Location, location, location!

Better than a hotel/motel around here
Convenient and easy. Comfortable and cozy. I've only stayed in J. T. a couple times before this, for two nights at most, so it was nice to get a home for the week instead of a hotel/motel. Place to hang out with my friend, and eat at the table. I'll be back, John!! Thank you

Great spot for visiting JT Park
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed. We had breakfast, packed lunches for our day hikes in the park, and ate out a couple of nights. Not many good restaurants in town, but we were not there for the food.. Bathroom was on the first floor and the bedroom was on the second. Being an elderly person who gets up several times to use the bathroom, I was dismayed at first, but turned out not to be a problem. John Hosman was exceedingly quick in replying to my questions. Very clean and wonderful outdoor courtyards..

This is a place to crash nothing more. The Wi Fi is not secure (no password required so good luck) and we couldn't connect to it on our Iphones, Found the mattress uncomfortable and sagging in the middle it should have been replaced a couple of years earlier. Sound on old tv is muddy. VERY small bathroom. Otherwise clean and cheap place to stay if nothing else in your budget is available - or if you love early 70's décor. Check in and out was easy peasy. .

Clean and centrally located
Our stay was great. The property was super clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast (pots, pans, utensils, fridge, stove, oven, microwave). It was really hot when we stayed (around 110°), and when we showed up the AC was already on and there was cold water waiting in the fridge. There was also a tower fan in the closet that was perfect for the upstairs loft area. Bed was comfortable. Great location near park entrance, restaurants, shops, grocery store, and a little bar that had live music. Parking spot is free and directly outside the unit. Will definitely book again for our next Joshua Tree trip.

Great loft just outside JTNP
The unit is very conveniently located near Central shops as well as the national park. We were happily surprised by the size and cleanliness of the unit. It was obvious that the unit was professionally cleaned and cared for. Great yard and outdoors common area as well. Would definitely stay here again.

This place exceeded my expectations. We loved the loft area and it made the place feel even bigger than it already is. Very cute outside area and close to everything. The place was very clean and had everything we needed plus more. So happy we stayed here and we cannot wait to stay here again. Definitely recommend this place!

Thre location is great.
One thing you need to know. The neighbor has a few roosters who crow from about 2 pm non stop!! I left ear plugs in the bedside table drawer for those who are light sleepers, like my husband and I!! This did not stop us from having a great time.

Perfect location!
This was a gem for our first stay in Joshua Tree! The location couldn't be beat. We were close to the saloon, brewery, and West entrance to the park. The place was extremely well-stocked with everything we needed; kitchen had quite a few seasonings, pots and pans, and even coffee for our morning brew. The bathroom was spotless and the lofted bedroom was comfy--and there was a fan available in the upstairs closet (Big win for a travelet who MUST have a fan!) All check-in instructions were crystal clear. If you're thinking about it, go for it!

We had the best time at this accommodation! The kitchen was perfect for making simple meals (the stove was new!). We like to eat in for a few meals on trips, so for us this was amazing! Apartment was very clean and all amenities were well maintained. Location was PERFECT. Very close to multiple JT Park entrances which was our reason for coming. There is a visitor center that’s walking distance as well! Food/ drink in the area was awesome. We ate at Natural Sisters Cafe 3 times and all meals were great. Coffee at Joshua Tree Coffee was very high quality. Both places are very close to the apartment. We had a question for John during our stay and he got back promptly! All directions were clear and his communication was great. Quick tip: The sleeping loft can get a little warm, so make sure to run the AC/open a window at night! Thanks for a great stay!

This place is in heart of Joshua Tree. It was great location and the house was equipped with great amenities. One thing is the neighbors has roosters and you hear this roosters waking up pretty early in the morning. Beside that, the house was great and comfortable with great location to all great sites and restaurants.

Wonderful Get Away!
This property is located near (a short drive) to Joshua Tree National Park. The rest of the time it was great to be able to walk to Breakfast and Dinner. The layout of this place is thoughtful, clean and comfortable! Wonderful atmosphere and a great place for a get away!

I'm glad I chose this rental in Joshua Tree. It's comfortable and close to one of the Park's entrances, and also close enough to Yucca Valley for buying groceries. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Super convenient that it was close to the visitors center and it’s a straight shot to Skull Rock 40 mins down the road for the best view of the night sky. The folder of info was helpful.

Quiet and Comfortable
My husband and I stayed two nights here during our recent visit to Joshua Tree National Park. We were very happy with the location. The JT visitor's center is just steps away as is the downtown area. Pie for the People is a two block walk. The entrance to the park is just a few miles from here. The rental was clean and had a well-stocked kitchen. The bed in the loft was very comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. We highly recommend Tortoise Rock Retreat!
