Sun Mesa Sanctuary brings the energy of a private recreation retreat to the wide-open Joshua Tree landscape. Beyond the comfortable interiors, an expansive, fully fenced backyard unfolds into distinct spaces for playing, swimming, relaxing and spending time together. Palm trees and desert landscaping soften the outdoor areas, while rugged mountain ridgelines provide a beautiful backdrop. With four bedrooms, a separate game room and plenty of places to spread out, the home gives up to eight guests the freedom to spend their vacation at their own pace.

The backyard is where Sun Mesa Sanctuary really comes to life. Challenge your friends to a pickleball match on the full-size court, practice your putting, or settle into a poolside lounger with a cold drink while the rest of the group keeps playing. The custom in-ground pool is surrounded by sunbathing space, desert landscaping and a shaded pergola, creating an inviting place to spend a leisurely afternoon.



For a change of pace, the outdoor wellness area offers several ways to unwind. Step inside the wooden barrel infrared sauna, rinse off beneath the hot-water outdoor shower, or enjoy a long soak in one of two freestanding clawfoot bathtubs. Positioned side by side behind a wooden privacy screen, the tubs make an especially memorable place to relax together in the open air.



The outdoor spaces are equally inviting when everyone is ready to gather. Fire up the gas BBQ for a casual dinner at the picnic table, find a quiet moment in a hammock, or settle into the built-in seating surrounding the gas fire pit. A heated hot tub sits nearby, with palm trees and distant mountains framing the setting as the desert sky changes color.

Inside, Sun Mesa Sanctuary offers a comfortable place to recharge between outdoor adventures. Relaxed furnishings and warm desert details create an easygoing atmosphere, whether you're settling in for a movie on the smart TV, catching up over drinks or taking a break from the afternoon sun.



Central heating and air conditioning keep the home comfortable throughout the seasons, while high-speed Wi-Fi and a washer and dryer provide the everyday conveniences that make an extended stay feel effortless. The indoor fireplace is decorative and not functional.



-Kitchen and Dining-

With so much to enjoy at the property, meals can be part of the fun rather than something that takes you away from it. The fully equipped kitchen has the essentials for preparing everything from an easy breakfast to a home-cooked dinner, including a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher.



Start the morning with locally roasted coffee from Joshua Tree Coffee Co. before heading out to explore or joining the first pickleball match of the day. Gather around the indoor dining table for a meal together, or take dinner outside, where the gas BBQ and picnic table make cooking and dining in the fresh desert air an easy option.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Four comfortable bedrooms offer a welcome retreat after a day of swimming, playing and exploring. The sleeping arrangements accommodate up to eight guests, with a mix of king and queen beds that work well for families, couples and groups of friends.



The primary bedroom features a spacious California king bed, while the second bedroom has a king bed. The third and fourth bedrooms each offer a queen bed. A queen-size Koala sofa bed provides additional sleeping flexibility within the home's eight-guest occupancy limit.



Two shared bathrooms serve the bedrooms and common areas. Outside, the custom hot-water shower and two freestanding soaking tubs offer additional places to refresh and unwind.



-Game Room-

The fun doesn't have to stop when everyone heads indoors. A dedicated game room features ping pong and foosball, giving guests another place to challenge each other, enjoy some friendly competition or keep the group's tournament going.



Between the indoor games, pickleball court and putting green, Sun Mesa Sanctuary makes it easy to fill an afternoon with activities without ever leaving home.



-Surrounding Area-

Sun Mesa Sanctuary sits east of Joshua Tree Village in a quieter setting, close to downtown Joshua Tree's shops, galleries, independent restaurants and cafés and the Transmission sculpture by Daniel Popper. Joshua Tree National Park's West Entrance is an easy drive for rock formations and trails, and the area offers hiking, sound baths, stargazing and live music.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.
