To begin with, the Expedia rate I had secured, differed from the rate we ended up being charged (not a great start), and the front desk attendant was pretty condescending, but we didn't let that bother us too much. Remaining optimistic, we headed to our room. The first thing that stood out was how surprisingly dirty the floors were. They definitely had not been touched since the previous occupants. Dirt/dust and footprints on the tiled sections, and the rugs had not been vacuumed. On further inspection, the couple of large towels that were in the bathroom were folded, but when we asked for 2 more, they told us that the hotel did not have any at the moment. First time we've ever received that kind of response from a hotel(??) No further effort was made by them to fulfill this request for us over the 4 days we were there. We had to take a couple of towels from the hot tub change room. And speaking of the hot tub, it was a nice touch with its rustic, rocky finishes and colorful lighting, but the jets were only working the first day we were there. The button just stopped working out of the blue... We never did recieve an explanation when we asked what the problem was. Apart from all that, if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs (the room heaters are very loud). Overall, not a great value for the money. Much better options. The room space is good have drawers underneath TV and a good sofa, but the kichenette is missing microwave and the fancy draw pull out fridge is not even cold. The main thing I dislike most is one of the front desk lady. I asked about my VIP Perks and she checked but gave me black face like I am trying to trick her to give me something I did not deserve. End up I have to spent more than an hour with both sides and she still not apologize at all. She was still in a black grumpy face like I begged for the perks which I was entitled to. Personally, I love their sister hotel CANOE more than them. Everyone is welcoming and nice and the room has a microwave."
