One of the best hotels ever!

Amazing hotel and staff- felt like you were staying with family. Nothing was too much bother. The rooms were gorgeous, restaurant was excellent- had dinner and breakfast and can highly recommend both. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at- absolutely perfect. Special thanks to Towe (not sure on spelling) who looked after us amazingly.

LOVED this villa! So clean, cute, modern, amazing restaurant. Service was excellent, staff was friendly. Truly a lovely stay. Sweet little treats and complimentary champagne upon entry. Minibar also complimentary. Just lovely.

Trevligt och välskött litet hotell med bra service

Mysigt litet hotell med uppvärmd pool. Lite tråkigt kort meny i restaurangen om man stannar ett tag. Sköna sängar och underbara rymliga rum. Dock fick man som vanligt inte de rummet som står beskrivet, skulle vara med utsikt in mot trädgården men hamnade ut mot parkeringen. Men helhetsupplevelsen blir ändå i stort sett full poäng!

My 3rd time staying here. And I’ll definitely be back. Breakfast is excellent. Staff are welcoming and friendly. My friend and I were given a free bottle of champagne to celebrate NYE - nice touch. Thank you very much for your welcoming hospitality.

Nice place near Sandton

Very friendly staff. Very nice and quiet place. Beautiful garden. Nicely furnished rooms. Negative point: Bed Linen had stains and also table cloth and napkins. I would suggest to change the laundry.

First Class Luxury

We arrived early, so our room was not ready, but we had breakfast, which was a great introduction to this quality hotel. Good service and fine food. Also had dinner at the hotel, which was a fine dining experience. 5 Star Room. Felt secure

Wow! Exceptional experience.

I travel the world often and must say I’ve never experienced customer service like this place. Almost my entire stay; there was literally an employee outside my door if I needed anything.

Very nice place. An oasis of tranquility .

We had to stay two nights in Johannesburg between two planes. We could have stayed in an airport hotel...but we made the very best decision. Go for this Relais&Chateaux boutique hôtel. That was the very best decision. Why stay in an international, noisy, casino hotel close to the airport, when you have paradise at arms length. Do not hesitate. We did not regret our choice. You won't either. Thanks to the team at Athol Place...and to the two ibis birds for beautiful photo shots.

Great for business or pleasure

From the moment I arrived, the staff was super helpful and friendly. The hotel is small, and the rooms are very comfortable. The décor is modern and glamourous. The food is extremely good. I honestly have no complaints about my stay. It is so close to Mandela Square, and I really liked how safe it felt. If you are there for work, the internet was great... in the room and down stairs. I will stay here again next time in Joburg.
