Our rustic home has modern stylish touches and is directly on the lake. We have a dock for swimming, 2 kayaks for boating, and we have an elevated screened in porch for you to enjoy the waterfront views. Take in the sunset at dinner time or while using the outdoor firepit. There is a king sized loft bedroom upstairs and a second queen sized bedroom downstairs. There is one fully updated bathroom. The house is direct waterfront on Ashland Lake, a ponded section of the Pachaug River in Griswold, CT. You can fish, swim, kayak, canoe, and more right off the grassy backyard of our cottage home. Use our kayaks or bring your own if you prefer - you can boat right from our personal dock in the backyard. The house has an open concept two story living room when you walk in the door with a tv and plenty of seating, fully stocked kitchen, full bathroom, a queen sized bedroom, and a king size bedroom which has it's own sitting area and work desk. Pets are also welcome with a paid pet fee. Important: Sheets and towels ARE included with your stay. They are washed before and after every guest, feel free to use the laundry room during your stay as needed as well. We also provide a starter pack of paper towels, toilet paper, toiletries, cleaning products, soaps, detergent, sponges, k cups, nespresso pods, and tea! This lake cottage has so much to offer! The lake was clean and nice for kayaking and sitting and relaxing. Screen-in porch was great!!! No bugs, and very nice view of the lake. Couldn't ask for a more tranquil and relaxing setting. Charming house with amazing views - we really appreciated the screened-in deck so we could spend time outaide without worry about bugs. The king sized bed in the loft was incredibly comfortable! Both the kitchen and bathroom has been update- we did not do any cooking during our stay so can’t comment on that area. But we really appreciate the instant hot water in the bathroom. The property is as cute as it looks. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and there are grocery stores close by. We had a wonderful time kayaking, relaxing in the sun, and making s’mores. The landscaping and area was very nice ! The home is clean, we had just anything necessary to make ourselves at home and enjoy ! There are steps so it wouldn't suit some people. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The lake house was equipped with everything one could possibly need for a memorable stay. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook delicious meals while enjoying the view, and the outdoor deck and patio were ideal for sipping coffee in the crisp morning air or sharing a glass of wine as the sun set over the lake.
