When we arrived, they gave us some cold homemade rice drink and showed us the igloo. They gave us a local map and explained all the bus routes, where the nearest stops were etc. When we were ready to go out an explore, they drove us to Handeok beach and showed us where everything was and how to get the bus back (or elsewhere). We hiked Mt Hallasan, and, although we didnt use them they had hiking poles ready for us. When we came home late, they messaged to make sure we were ok and hadn't had an accident or anything. In the morning they made us a simple breakfast that included jams they made themselves from fruit in their gardens (so yummy!) On the day we left, they gave us a jar or the jam to take home with us and then drove us to the bus stop along with instructions on which is the fastest bus to take.
