  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.

Séjour en Périgord vert

Très bonnes vacances à Javerlhac. La maison est très agréable, refaite à neuf simplement mais avec goût bien équipée et merveilleusement située sur le haut d’une colline qui permet d’avoir une belle vue sur le bourg et son château. La nature est splendide avec de belles forêts Monique et son mari nous ont fort bien accueilli et donné toutes les précisions nécessaires pour que l’on passe un agréable séjour.
